In reply to: [Fabrica Dashboard] notificationYep Notification can take care of that for you. Nice suggestion JeanPaulH!
Depending on your exact wishes / use cases I might also want to suggest NotificationX.
Which takes a bit of a FOMO approach as well. But as stated I would not want this plugin to manage a notification aspect. Keep in mind though that is just my own view.

In reply to: [Fabrica Dashboard] notificationNope that does not seem to be in the essence of this plugin. This ‘just’ gives you quick insights etc in a very nice fashion.
And speaking for myself … I’m not sure I would like notification features to be in this plugin. As it by passes the scope of it.
Dont get me wrong I get why you are asking … but the main issue with a lot of wordpress plugins these days is that they try to do it all. And sometimes that just isn’t the best thing.
Anyway my 2 cents ??

In reply to: [Fabrica Dashboard] [Bug] [Feature request] Support for custom user rolesDid not get around to test this myself but probably we would have the same with custom user roles on our end. Perhaps an option page which gives you an option to select which roles should be uses would be a great way to offer the most flexibility.
And indeed great job, and look forward to see where this goes form here ??

In reply to: [Fabrica Dashboard] [Feature Request] Disable widget Media BreakdownHave to agree with JeanPaulH on this. I kept it running for 2+ hours on end and it didn’t finish populating that widget. (We have a large image setup which might be to blame)
But making it a modular with a real on / off option would be better then plainly hiding widgets you dont plan on using.
As for grabbing resources while hidden; it should not do that as far as I can tell.
It’s hidden on our end and not doing anything in regard to hogging resources.Hi Rupok!
Great to hear.
Looking forward to those changes in the future.Keep up the great job you are doing with NotificationX.
Best regards,
Patrick DankersDont mention it Rupok!
In all fairness I like they way you guys are setting this up. (and when I like something I tend to give input/feedback). Personally I like the FOMO approach but I always wanted a solution that looks at actual data and not fake data (like some other options out there do … and while I get that there is market for that … who are you ‘fooling’ in the end is something I always have to think about)
But when it comes to the comments regard … you really are the first to do so as far as I know. And that was something I was really looking for. Inform everyone (and not just a user to user relation) about activity. That will always cause more interaction.
Anyway keep up the great job guys ??
Kind regards,
Patrick DankersTo get back; It seems to be handled way better now guys.
I think this will really keep the cron in check as it is not more or less bouncing around the place now.Great work once again, and thank you!
PS: by all mean notify me when you guys get the PRO version ready ??
Hi again,
Awesome.
Installed it earlier today will test it for the upcoming days to make sure all is ok.Thanks again for the swift action ??
Kind regards,
Patrick DankersThanks for the swift reply guys.
Hope you can crack down on this, if so I will keep using at mentioned and look forward to your pro option as well.
Keep up the great work.

In reply to: [Post Type Switcher] Control Visible on Individual but not Bulk EditI was actually also running into this. Could edit the individual posts just fine but the bulk option just does not show the Post Type Switcher drop drown. But you MUST make sure you enable the TYPE column before this will work.
Just change that and it should work.

In reply to: [Better Font Awesome] JSDeliver issueThanks for the feedback to both of the above.
Mickey is there a reason for the 10s timeout?
You are relying on a third party here and I think having it lower by default would be better as to ensure a workable situation in the long run.As mentioned above … it slows every thing in the backend.
Either way thanks for looking into this!As for beta running on production; agreed but I hope that a FA5 supporting version comes out of beta sooner then later ??

In reply to: [Better Font Awesome] JSDeliver issueI ended up disabling it for now.
We have a custom fallback in place which provides FA in another way … but does not offer the icon selection like BFA does in the backend.Hope this gets resolved as it hurts more then it should in performance really.
Not saying that it’s the blame of the author btw, but I think it should be a shorter check. The files are either available or not that should not even need 10001 milliseconds to determine.Ran into this last night.
Made a solution for it which you can put in your themes functions.php/** * Social Login comment link overrides - comment_author_url exceeds the default value */ function extend_lengths_comment_field_social( $lengths ){ global $wpdb; $lengths = array( 'comment_author' => 245, 'comment_author_email' => 100, 'comment_author_url' => 250, 'comment_content' => 65525, ); return $lengths; } add_filter( 'wp_get_comment_fields_max_lengths', 'extend_lengths_comment_field_social' );
That should circumvent the too long author_url for Facebook users.
+ giving you more control about other parameters.Hope it helps you all.

In reply to: [Advanced Custom Fields: Font Awesome Field] Fontawesome 5?Hi Matt,
Thanks for clearing that up. Very much appreciated.
While I am not shy of beta testing things, for a production website beta versions can be a risk. i’ll see what we can do in the meantime. We could ofcourse just test how things work on the dev enviroment and move on from there.
Kind regards,
Patrick Dankers
