    rdellconsulting,

It did the job. I cannot thank you enough for all your help here. You and d4z_c0nf are a blessing to the Customizr support forum.

Now, that I am on it, there is one more thing that I would like to fix, styling the links (ONLY and SEPARATELY) in the content area. But, I will open a new topic for that.

    Thank you very much.

    rdellconsulting,

If I may seek your help on one more thing related to the same query:

The “credits” section under the main footer is aligned to the right (I am using using ‘full width’) – not full width.

Is there a way to also expand that section like the rest of the site? (And, or align it to the center?)

    The site is: https://newsscouter.com/

    Thank you.

PS: Just changed the status back to “unresolved” to keep it ‘visible’.

    rdellconsulting,

Please disregard my previous reply. The solution that d4z_c0nf proposed worked.

I had not applied the filter in the functions.php, and was only trying the css. Once put in conjunction with the php, it did the job.

Thank you very much for you kind help.

    rdellconsulting,

Thank you for guiding me to the ‘post’. But, it didn’t help. The issue is that Customizr is designed for a max width of 1170px (for desktops). When I applied the css as suggested by d4z_c0nf:

    .container { width: 100% !important;}
    #main-wrapper{ padding: 0 10px; -webkit-box-sizing: border-box; -moz-box-sizing: border-box; box-sizing: border-box;}

It simply shifted the container/main-wrapper to the left – no increase in width, and no elimination of left-right padding.

Is there a way to increase the width to, say, 1440px?
And, is it possible to eliminate the left-right padding (that is, probably, 20px on both sides)?

    Thank you.

    d4z_c0nf,
Thank you very much for looking into it. You are right, it seems what I wanted to do wouldn’t work with the bootstarp grid system since all the elements are the children of the “row” element.

For the header widget area, what other hook do you propose? I couldn’t figure it out. The idea is to create a widget area in the header box, in front of the Site Title.

    Thanks again.

    Hi wph4,

Thank you very much for your help and guidance. I looked at the codes, and also checked your site. What you have done is the implementation of “rows”, the same that I have done, though, in a different manner.

The problem here is that the two columns that are created by “span” property within the row maintain the same height.

In a column set up, the height of the rows across the divide (columns) will be independent of each other.

That is what I am looking for.

Again, thank you for looking into it and giving me the help.

    Beefstick,

Thanks a bundle. It was so intuitive, and sort of ‘on your face’ that I conveniently (!) kept on missing the obvious. I followed your instructions, and it did set up the posts the way it should – perfect.

I will try the “sidebar’ method later on. I believe it will also work without any hitch.

Hueman is a great theme – Alex deserves a lot of thanks for a great work.

Thank you again for a very concise advice and a fast response to my query.

The issue is resolved as followed in my later post.

    Hello Brahmos,
I had the same issue. Got advise from Mike. The given steps took care of those ‘Illigal strings’.

Here are the steps as I posted to mark my issue as ‘resolved’:
    >>>>
From Alex – “Hi – try pressing save options in theme options once. “

    Here is my implementation:
Go to Appearance -> Hueman Theme -> hover over it -> Click the ‘theme details’ -> at the bottom -> open the ‘options’, select and ‘save’. Done!
    >>>>
if it resolves your issue, please mark it as “resolved>

Thanks a lot Mike. A bit strange, but the given step took care of those ‘Illigal strings’.

For any one else who may be encountering the same issue, here is the solution (as pointed by Mike) given by Alex and my implementation of those directions:

From Alex – “Hi – try pressing save options in theme options once. “

    Here is my implementation:
Go to Appearance -> Hueman Theme -> hover over it -> Click the ‘theme details’ -> at the bottom -> open the ‘options’, select and ‘save’. Done!

    Thanks again.

Thanks Zulfikar. It is good to hear that Fourteen Extended will improve further. Now, taking into account the make up of my site (mostly text), what would you suggest – Keep the Fourteen Extended OR switch to Radizain?

    Thank you.

    Hello Zulfikar,

First of all, thank you very much for looking into my query. Going through the support forum here, I am very much impressed how promptly, courteously, and thoughtfully you have been responding to all the issues and problems encountered by the users. You deserve thanks from thousands of people who benefit from your themes – Thank you.

My bad for taking Ridizian as the child theme of twenty fourteen. I didn’t confused it with ‘Sequel’ either – after installing your ‘twenty fourteen extended’ theme, I have been looking for your themes to transform my site.

Coming to the main point of the issue, the site I will be using Ridizian for is content heavy (articles, essays, research work, blogs), not image dominated one. As you stated, the way Ridizian is designed, it is not geared for showing text in place of images (featured images).

I am OK with CSS and HTLM, but php is not my forte, and wouldn’t like to try it on my own. One way around it is what I have already devised; take the excerpt form the article, frame it, and convert into ‘jpg’. It can then be posted as an ‘image’ (featured).

Well, if someone else has similar concerns, you may point them to this solution.

[You can check my handiwork at the link I provided in my query.]

    Thank you.
