@facebook thank you for your response. It seems to have been working for a couple of the clients after reconnecting with the API. We are hoping this should be the situation for rest of them once we reconnect them one after another.
None of the existing connections are still working which had issues. We had to de-link the conversion API and then reconnect them for this to work.
Thank you for looking into this!
- We removed connection first from the wordpress admin area, then we removed any business partner WP from the relevant FB business account.
- You have to be logged into both in the same browser to do so.
- After removing connection from WP admin and FB business account, you can reconnect them by following the plugin guide. This can help to resolve the issue.
- To keep an eye on the access token you can access it by looking into the database.
- Under WP’s “wp_options” table you can check value for ‘facebook_business_extension_config’ option_name and that can show you the access token along with pixel id etc.
In case you are still struggling with any other issues then please create another support ticket.
Good luck!
We received following response from Meta/Facebook on 10th November. I have tried to send events using test events but they are not sending anything to the events manager either.
Thank you for contacting Meta Support Pro. My name is Melissa and I hope you are having a lovely day.
I am reaching out to you regarding case 1770362266xxxxxx that you recently opened with us
Thank you so much for taking the time to report this matter to us. I truly understand it is very important for you to get this situation solved as soon as possible and I am happy to assist you.
I found that the active integrations on Events manager show that the Browser Pixel is only active and the Conversion API shows as No Recent Activity.
After checking our backend in multiple locations, we can confirm that the partner is not sending any events to us. Please advise the customer to review the Conversions API settings within their Partner Integration.
If they are not able to determine what the cause is themselves, please ask them to reach out to the support of the Partner Integration and ask them to investigate why no server events are being sent.
The client needs to send events in order for their Conversion API to become active. Please refer to this help center, which can be shared with the client: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/marketing-api/conversions-api/using-the-api
They can also use the Test Events tool to verify their events are being received correctly by Facebook. Please share this help center on how to Test Events for Server Events: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/marketing-api/conversions-api/using-the-api#testEvents
