I’m using an older version of WP Touch Pro. The desktop site is showing the Mobile view. This seems to happen with all cache plugins including Falcon Engine. We’ve moved as many sites as I can to Responsive Design rather than using WP Touch Pro but we have hundreds of sites.
Any chance that will ever get addressed? I really like Wordfence!
Seemed to update OK on an individual WP install but messed up on my WP MU install. Good thing I use a dedicated server with my own backups. I suggest waiting to update this until it is to the next version.
Good luck all!
Yes, I uncheck all of the following under Tweaks in single and mu sites. However, I’ve started using things that pull fewer resources. Installing Cloudflare is one of my favorite tools. It helps a lot.

In reply to: [Quick Cache (Speed Without Compromise)] Don't update the plugin!Everyone, these forums are only for FREE versions of plugins or themes – so any issues with a paid version, please take up with the developers directly
We are talking about the FREE version, not the paid version. The problems we are all having is with the FREE version. A new release a couple days ago may have fixed some of these issues. For example the PHP 5.3 issue appears to be reconciled.
I’m still concerned about how the FREE plugin acts with mobile plugins like WP Touch and the one with Jetpack. There is no longer an area in the FREE plugin that allows you to exclude certain user agents associated with mobile browsers. I’m sure it can still be done in the .htaccess but the interface was nice in the previous FREE version.

In reply to: [Quick Cache (Speed Without Compromise)] Don't update the plugin!I agree with you snakesmaster. We have hundreds of WP sites that have been messed up by the update. Issues with errors or the site showing the Mobile view on a PC etc. No way to easily use the no cache user agents etc. If they would have just left the rest of us with the old version and introduced the paid version it would have been better. Our issue is we use the Auto Update plugin to keep things up to date since customers will not do it.
Bottom line is $15 isn’t much but multiply that by several hundred and it is significant. What are we supposed to tell those who rely on us? I suppose the issue with Open Source is there is zero accountability but zero cost. I’ve joined WPMUDEV.org for $400 plus a year but they don’t offer a cache since there are so many out there. The problem is they are all tricky to set up correctly or have other issues.
Here is a site demo. I don’t need to use this for a while.
https://popularportals.com/sample-page/I can give you access to cpanel and wp if you want. Drop a comment on the page and I’ll email you whatever you need.
I tried the standard WordPress theme and it is fine. I wonder what it can be in the Artisteer theme maker that causes this? I guess I should address them?
Sorry about the delay. Here is a link https://outerbanks.cc/obxrentals/rental-cottages/forbes-fever/
The theme was created with the latest version of Artisteer. That is a fairly popular theme creation program.
Thanks,
MikeOK , I came back here after 9 months to see if the issue has been fixed. Apparently nobody can figure this out. The Photon thing has not fixed the issue on this latest site.
The only solution I have found is to attach 2 images to each email. That way it will simply create the thumbnails and not blow out the page. Hope my client can live with that. This is a great feature if we can ever get it working properly with a single image.
Hi Jeremy. I understand what you are saying. I should have put in the web address I was referring to. We have hundreds of WordPress sites. I switched over to contact form 7 as I could not wait for a reply. I do appreciate you getting back to me but unfortunately we have to move quickly to fix all client issues.
Best Regards,
Mike KellyThanks Richard. When I posted last week it was up to date. The update did not fix it.
I don’t see the code you are referring to but I decided to see if it was the Artisteer theme. It must have been in there. I switched to 2012 and it looks good. It also threw some coding into the page that seemed normal in my Chrome browser on my MAC. Fixing that now. Thanks for the tip! I think I will stick with 2012 theme or something along that line and just modify some things.
In the case of the first client this wasn’t the issue but I do know what you mean.
In this one case the emails would come to me and even if I forwarded the emails to the client from my personal account his Gmail would not receive it. If I sent him a regular email he would receive it. I even added [email protected] to his address book and it still would not go through. His domain and IP are not on any blacklists.
I like the Jetpack Contact form as it is very spam resistent without the need for a captcha. I suppose I will need to convert a bunch of sites back to Contact Form 7 with the Database add on feature.
In the second case all people with Admin log ins are getting a copy of the email and the Email Notifications part of the Jetpack Contact form do not retain the email address after you save the form and page. Very odd.

In reply to: [Advanced Automatic Updates] Notification Email IssueYes, I had email notification disabled but it sent a bunch of them regardless. The numbers were not in the hundreds. I deleted them but I am guessing it was 30 plus.
Thanks Gary, I bet that is it. I will let you know if it starts updating.
