In reply to: [Advanced Excerpt] Captions appearing in excerptsThe strange thing about this is that the author created a development version which has a fix for the captions issue:

However, that version never seemed to make it into the official plugin. I’m not sure why.
For me, this means I have never been able to upgrade from version 4.1.1, which is still working fine. I have tried out the latest version on my test server, and it causes issues (not just the captions issue but other quirks), so I am sticking with 4.1.1.
There are other plugins you can get to stop WP bugging you to update.

In reply to: [Content Audit] Sparklines no longer workingDitto. I also found the link to the analytics dashboards plugin via this one, installed it, but eventually couldn’t get it working. Stephanie, if you see these messages, please remove the reference — it will save others some hassle.

Yes, I tested it locally and that seems to have fixed it!
