In reply to: Fonts and font plugins. Follet/Alétheiaok I looked at using firebug again, and found my chosen typekit font for the site title, but it appears semi-opaque in the css…which I assume means that it isn’t being applied for some reason.
am having slightly more success with a single-use free plugin (multiple uses cost 10) of a plugin called ‘Use Any Font’
and am experimenting now with google font plugin “easy google fonts”…no luck yet

In reply to: [FontMeister - The Font Management Plugin] Cannot get any Fonts to showanyone had any luck yet?
I did find one solution that worked for someone else, but not on my site
their solution was to go to ‘font sources’ in fontmeister, ans switch off the ‘combine squirrel fonts’ tab
Unfortunately, none of my typekit fonts are showing through on any of my kits or edits

In reply to: [Alétheia] Move Site Title and change it's fontso, no luck with any attempts to add typekit fonts to my site so far. Have used a number of plugins bu none seem to allow me to alter the fonts on the site title. I cheated and made this discussion two questions, so I’ve marked it “resolved” and created a new discussion for the font issues here

I can’t say it’s resolved yet, but you’ve really helped to explain what’s going on. Thanks ??

In reply to: view an old wordpress blog from saved files offlineI dont know if I backed up the “database” or not…is there a way of discovering whether they are there or not? I just followed instructions about “making a full back up” from the old host and it was a couple of months ago now so hard to remember the process. It seemed to be being done automatically and appeared in my pc ‘s directory once I’d clicked ‘make back up’
