I dont understand what you are saying? I can’t find the first step in creating a child theme…I’m in Editor, looking for wp-content theme but don’t see it.

not to sound silly, but starting a child them, where is the wp-content/themes. I can’t even find it!

so if I can’t remember where I place everything just forgo this?

Ugh. Switched themes, went back to 2014 and its still there!

ok figured out how to export. Now do I do the same with importing it back in?

I feel like it has something to do with comments for some reason?

I have done everything i know..I do see it say “uncategorized” on top of it. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? I have also looked for the html in Editor with no luck.

ok just deactivated all of them and HTML is still there. So it’s not the plug ins.
Any other suggestions?

did you ever figure this out? I have found that the sidebar widgets don’t appear on a “page” (like static front page) but only on “posts”. very frustrating!
