In reply to: [PDF Viewer & 3D PDF Flipbook - DearPDF] display issues, mainly mobileThank you for the guidance. Is there an example of using DearPDF in a lightbox? I have installed Simple Lightbox (seems to be the most popular) and have successfully used it for images, but I haven’t figured out how to insert DearPDF into the lightbox. I know the DearPDF shortcode but I don’t know where to use it.

In reply to: HTTP error when uploading PDFJust today, I too encountered this error with a PDF. “HTTP Error” is frustratingly vague! This was an unremarkable 2MB neighborhood newsletter. Similar uploads have been done about twice a year for the past couple of years. The person who normally does it reported the problem to me, and I got the same — two different home networks.
I probably need to update WP, and will do so. Beyond that, I’ll contact the hosting provider.

In reply to: [Twenty Sixteen] child loses parent? In case anyone else runs across this … I contacted my hosting provider, who said “The latest version of Pagespeed has some problems with minification and inlining of CSS. Disabling Pagespeed for the time being should resolve this”. I did that (by adding “ModPagespeed off” to .htaccess) and all is well.

In reply to: Is its parent directory writable by the server?I had the same problem, talked with my host provider, who said permissions on the upload folder needed to be at least 717. I thought I had tried various values up to and including 777, but apparently something wasn’t right. I set it to 717 and all is working.

In reply to: [PHPEnkoder] Several PHP noticesRootside, thanks — that was it. I sure don’t remember doing it and have no idea why I would have, but it’s been almost three months since I installed the plugins, and someone else has been working on content since then. Anyway, turning off debug mode fixed it.
Thanks again,
Edward

In reply to: [PHPEnkoder] Several PHP noticesThis is actually a pretty big problem for me, because the “undefined offset” notices are appearing on every web page that contains email addresses — and once for each address. Such as here.
Was not happening two or three months ago when I installed PHPenkoder, and the cp says I have the latest version, so I don’t know what changed.
Is there anything I can do to make the notices not appear on the web page?
