I’m having the same problem and I’m on 4.7.1
I haven’t found a fix yet.
I am also not able to upload .mp3 files on wordpress since the update yesterday.

.mp3 and excel also don’t upload. It looks like it’s because of the update

I tried reinstalling 4.7.1 because I have issues and it showed this message:

Update package not available.

Installation Failed

Could it be theme related? Any options in the customization?

I have had the same for .mp3 files since the 4.7.1 update. I have tried a lot already (disabling Plugins, other themes) but it doesn’t fix it. I hope it will be fixed as soon as possible.

It’s not related to Plugins and neither to the theme. I tried both and I still couldn’t upload mp3 files. I am able to upload images but I really have to be able to upload .mp3

It worked fine with the Plugins I had installed until I upgraded to WordPress 4.7.1

Any idea on how to fix it?
