    Hi Markus,

You need to include a shortcode [geo2 …some options] on your web page. This will be replaced by a map. On this plugin mage page there is FAQ with some examples.

You can also search online for how to add a shortcode to WordPress in general.

You can also check other posts. Some people had some problems as well and they found a solution.

Although, I do not remember any similar problem. I’m not sure what does it mean. Hmm. Maybe your Bing key is incorrect?

    Hi,

Thank you for still trying and posting this issue. The link you shared was very helpful. I noticed that the image which is shown after clicking a thumbnail is not really random but it shows a photo which is 1, 2 or 3 images before. The bigger the number the bigger the difference. I found the first step happening at image 49. I couldn’t locate it on the map. Please could you check if there is anything special about it? Please check if it definitely has the GPS coordinates. This could explain a step and I would know where to start to fix this problem. But maybe it is excluded from the NG gallery or something else. Please let me know.

    Hi Sara,
    I hope you are well.
Please, if it’s not a problem, could you check if you still have some PHP warnings?

Hi. I’m surprised that you have an issue like this. It’s quite a simple plugin. Could you let me know what e-commerce plugin you are using exactly? Have you tried if this problem disappears when you are switching to different lightboxes? If you are switching some settings on and off like Auto Mode – Insert maps automatically… or Enable Ajax shortcode maybe this problem goes away? This would be an important clue what creates this problem.

Hi Sara, I’m working on the update. Somehow these PHP warnings are not crashing my tests. I found one difference tho. You have some warnings and I suspect that the plugin options were not updated in MySQL database on your server. You would need to deactivate and activate the plunging with the option “Restore default settings” activated on the General tab on the plugin settings page. Please try this. This will not affect your shortcodes but you will need to enter BING map key again and adjust other settings as well.

Ah. I wonder why I can’t see the same warnings. Where do they appear? In the browser console or the web page directly? And in the admin page or the gallery page?

    Hi Sara,

I made some updates. Please download the latest version and check if this problem is gone.

    Hi,

I’m sorry for the late reply. I was still not able to finish the premium version. Even with this basic version, you can view multiple galleries on one map. [geo2 id=1,2,3…]

In the premium version, there will be no option initially to change colours individually for different galleries on one map. I had an idea to allow to choose different pushpins for different tags and I added your idea to my list of possible improvements.

Unfortunately, I don’t think that in the next 3 months I will be able to release the premium version. If I will probably it will cost about 9$. I’m not sure yet. I will need to do some research.

    All the best.

Hi, Thank you for checking these things. These two CSS errors are in my plugin and I will update it tomorrow but I’m sure these could not create this problem that you have.

Regardless please try to deactivate Geo2 to see if NextGEN menu will go back to normal.

If NextGEN menu will still look so bad please contact NextGEN.

If this problem appears when you activate Geo2 then probably something else is causing it. I will try to find a solution but now nothing comes to my mind. I updated NextGEN to the latest version and this theme you are using and all looks good on my computer.

Are you using any browser add-on – the same in both these browsers? Unlikely, but maybe some adblocker? Antivirus interfering what browsers pages can download?

Have tried to clear the cache in these browsers?

Really, I have no other ideas now.

    Good luck

    Hi,
Did it happen when you installed Geo2? This would be strange if it would happen because of it.
Try to disable plugins one by one. Mabe one of them made some changes. Actually, this could be a Theme more likely.
What browser are you using? Does it look the same on other browsers?
If you open the Console – F12 in Chrome does it show any suspicious errors?
It looks like some strange parameters set up in css or css not loaded at all.

But I;m just guessing. I don’t think it’s related to this plugin.
I hope you will find the reason.

Hi, Could you try to disable other plugins to see if then it will work? Maybe there is a conflict. Of course except for the NextGEN.

    Hi,
Just try a simple shortcode like [geo2 id=1] Replace “1” with a NextGEN gallery number you want to show. Shortcodes [ngg…] will not work with my plugin. Only shortcodes specifically described on Geo2 plugin admin page are supported.

GPS data is very likely correct. I suppose all companies are using the same standard to save it.

Also, check FAQ on the main page of this plugin. Maybe you missed it. There are 9 topics that you can unfold.

I suppose the Wordmap behaviour is correct. Wordmap is using geolocation if the preview image of a gallery doesn’t have GPS coordinates. Probably there is something called like TEST4. Change it to a name of a city or any real geographic location.

Hi, I checked and NextGEN doesn’t show GPS information in their metadata info. Maybe there is any other WP plugin that is doing this but I suppose you uploaded without any conversion the same photos which show GPS in digiKam so the problem must be somewhere else. Maybe there is a mistake in the shortcode you are using?
Would you mind sharing it? Please also check other posts.

btw. Geo2 Maps Plus – the extended version of the plugin on which I’m unfortunately still working is going to show EXIF info including GPS in the WP Media Library.

    Hi,

Probably it will take me about 2-3 months to finalise and release Geo2 Maps Plus.

Did you manage to make it to work finally?

    It looks that you did.
