In reply to: [Meteor Slides] [Plugin: Meteor Slides] cut images in slidesThe problem with resizing the photos and reloading, in my situation:
– Make the slideshow the perfect size, but the font is too small to read.
– Resize a little bigger and reload the images
– Font is still a little too small.
– Resize a little bigger and reload the images
– on and on …A full-size option would be great. Then the user is left to fiddle with the settings instead of the more elaborate process.

In reply to: [Meteor Slides] [Plugin: Meteor Slides] PositionIs this similar to what you want to figure out? Here’s an image of what I’m working on: getting the slideshow right-aligned with text flowing around it.
My first though of getting the slideshow centered in a green rectangle is to set up a table, put the slideshow in the center and use the outer cells to build the green rectangle.
Regarding the cropped images, see the solution that Simon came up with.
He made a tweak tot he PHP code.

In reply to: [Meteor Slides] [Plugin: Meteor Slides] cut images in slidesSimon, thanks to your workaround, I was able to get the slideshow to work inside a table. It was possible to tweak a few things rather than re-size and re-load and re-size and re-load the images.
JLeuze, any chance of incorporating this into future updates?

Suffusion theme with Meteor-Slides slideshow inside a table to get text to flow around the slideshow.

In reply to: [Meteor Slides] [Plugin: Meteor Slides] Slideshow alignment?I put the slideshow in a table
3 rows, 2 columns
I merged the data in the top row and bottom row
The slideshow is in row 2, column 2
Text is in Row 2, column 1Attached is an image of the initial attempt. I’m going to tweak the numbers and get this looking neater.

In reply to: [Meteor Slides] [Plugin: Meteor Slides] cut images in slidesSimon, GREAT solution!!! I certainly didn’t want to go through and upload all of my images again.
I wonder if this will be wiped out with future updates, though, and we’ll have to change the ‘featured-slide’ back to ‘full’ again.
Overall, I’m liking meteor-slides. Straight-forward, fairly simple. I dig it.

My site is https://www.datascopic.net
I found Slideshow by Stefan Boonstra and it looks odd. The slides are far to the left and partially covered by the control arrows. Not good.

I was thrown, thinking that media didn’t include spreadsheets, PDFs, etc.Mark this resolved.
I can wait 2 or 3 days.
I also like the part of the regular (non-Jetpack) Follow button that allows me to see and modify the list of subscribers. Thanks for the reply.

In reply to: Using Suffusion. What are the Magazine settings? Thanks WPyogi and Sayontan! I’ll look deeper and hit up the Suffusion forum.
I’m thinking the Magazine feature might be good for organizing blogpost excerpts. Let’s see.
Last thing I’ll say: I’m digging Suffusion. (And I bought a cup of coffee)
Of all the themes I’ve used, Suffusion is a great balance of high customization and low pain.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Premium themes vs. Free themesI tried a few more free themes and have decided to go with Suffusion. WOW! This is wonderful. There are lots and lots of dashboards and tweaks and it’s fantastic. A lot of the stuff that was vexing about 2010 Weaver and dealing with code is handled in Suffusion dashboards.
Thanks for the suggestion esmi.

In reply to: faviconI’m having this same problem with Weaver 2010. Been here for at least 4 hours trying to figure out what’s going on.
Using Firefox I found the old Favicon showing
Location location:image/x-icon 64; ….. and a long string of letters and numbers. But I can’t physically find the image and can’t get my website and browser to point to my real favicon:
