In reply to: [PayPal for WooCommerce] Getting Invalid Vendor error 26Hello,
I “double” this request. Account was working fine until the update 1.4.1.
My site uses “PayPal Payments Pro 2.0-PayFlow” and also “PayPal Express checkout”.I can pay using “PayPal Express checkout” but I can’t pay with my debit card using “PayPal Payments Pro 2.0-PayFlow”. The outcome is the “26-Invalid vendor account” error message.
My PayPal account is linked with the same Debit Card I used trying to pay with the Payment card option (PayPal Payments Pro 2.0-PayFlow). So, there is no problem with this debit card.
I just made LIVE payments (or attempts of payments) in order to be sure. And I did it after failed payments from clients!
Something needs to be fixed asap, please.
Thank you in advance, guys.Regards,

Hello,
My theme did not update after WC or your plugin updates.Actually this strange situation brings us back to a conversation we had on skype. You then asked me to open a support request for which by the way I never received any answer: ticket #792565.
So on my website using your plugin ( and more precisely and only PayPal Pro 2.0 (PayFlow) ) made the following info fields appear on the checkout page of my site:
Cardholder first name /?Cardholder last name /?Credit Card Number /?Expiration Date /?Card Security Code /?Month /?Year.I needed to translate these info fields but because there is a problem with the language file I had to translate these fields directly in the .php file.
Because I am using PayPal Pro 2.0 (PayFlow) I had to make the modifications in “wc-gateway-paypal-pro-payflow-angelleye.php”.The fact is “Cardholder first name” and “Cardholder last name” appeared on the checkout page of my site but do not exist in the “wc-gateway-paypal-pro-payflow-angelleye.php” file.
So I had to translate these two fields in?“wc-gateway-paypal-pro-angelleye.php”.And it worked!!!
What I understand is that the “wc-gateway-paypal-pro-angelleye.php” file is linked with PayPal Website Payments Pro (DoDirectPayment) which I did NOT use so I do not understand what was happening here.
Again, I repeat, “Cardholder first name” and “Cardholder last name” appeared on my site and after translating them in the “wc-gateway-paypal-pro-angelleye.php” file these two fields were also translated on my site EVEN IF I did not use PayPal Website Payments Pro (DoDirectPayment).
It sounds probably crazy, nonsensical or whatever but a fact is a fact. What I describe just above is the truth. I have screenshots in case you dont believe it.
After the update of PayPal for WooCommerce to version 1.2.3 and still using only PayPal Pro 2.0 (PayFlow), “Cardholder first name” and “Cardholder last name” did not appear on my site anymore. Hence I opened my request.
———————
That said you wrote “…the name would be pulled from the billing address…”
But the name of the person who places an order is not necessarily the name of the cardholder. So, does this mean that in order to process a payment with a credit/debit card you do not need the name of the cardholder? How is this secure?
OR does this mean that the person who places an order has necessarily to be the cardholder?
Regards,
OxleyHello,
I have talked about the Cardholder names since the beginning.
Before the update there were already the fields asking for the Cardholder first name and the Cardholder last name so I don’t follow what you mean or imply by “… the name would be pulled from the billing address above. That’s actually always been that way…”Anyway if you will add these fields (as it was already the case before the update) then things are going to return to a “normal” state.
Regards,
OxleyHello,
PayPal for WooCommerce version 1.2.3 + WooCommerce version 2.6.2 =
PayPal Pro 2.0 (PayFlow) not requiring AND even not showing the cardholder first name and last name fields.Regards,
OxleyHello,
I was using WooCommerce version 2.5.5. and PayPal Pro 2.0 (PayFlow) from “PayPal for WooCommerce version 1.1.9.2” required to enter the cardholder first name and last name in order to make a payment.I updated PayPal for WooCommerce to Version 1.2.3 and saw that PayPal Pro 2.0 (PayFlow) did not require the cardholder first name and last name anymore. Then I opened this request.
I then updated WooCommerce to the 2.6.2 version since it is a “major” update.
And I can see now that PayPal Pro 2.0 (PayFlow) STILL does not require to enter the cardholder first name and last name.Do you need a screenshot?
Regards,
OxleyHello,
Thank you for your answer.
I have updated WC to the 2.6.2 version since it is a “major” update.I do not understand precisely the reason of the problem:
– Did the WC update make the payment less secure and you can’t do anything?
In this case you should contact them and explain that they have to fix this.– Or is it you who have to update your plugin?
In this case do you have an idea when an update will be available? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Do you have a suggestion for an IP I should test running a telnet test?==> telnet example.com 587
What to put instead of example.com?
Again, thank you for your help.Regards,

In reply to: [PayPal for WooCommerce] Refund of only "1.00" whatever the amount refundedHello,
So finally I re-started from scratch using a backup of my website.
Starting from the Paypal Pro account I clicked on the developer button in order to reach the Paypal Developer site. There I created a Sandbox account. You can see the one from the 24th of April.
I can access this sandbox at paypalmanager.sandbox.paypal.com. Once connected it shows the email address used to create this sandbox after the Business name.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/mjgclfuwbgbvzyl/3%20-%20paypalmanager.sandbox.paypal.com.jpg?dl=0
I have also a Paypal Manager account created automatically with the Paypal Pro account (https://manager.paypal.com). You can see the services I have access to in the Service Summary panel.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3la36ovnv2e6xsx/4%20-%20manager.paypal.com.jpg?dl=0
This is where I start to get confused and why I may be doing something wrong.
In order to connect to this Paypal Manager account I need to fill 4 fields up: Partner, Merchant login, User (optional) and Password.
I am using the same “Partner, Merchant login, User (optional) and Password” for the Sandbox settings in your plugin since I don’t have other Merchant login ID. Doing so it seems to me I am connecting the Paypal manager account to WooCommerce which makes sense except that we want to test with the sandbox and not with the PayPal Manager account…
Your plugins says: “Your merchant login ID that you created when you registered for the account.”
What is the account you are referring to? Is it the Sandbox account created through PayPal Developer? That would make sense but fact is I don’t have a Merchant login ID with this sandbox account. Again the only Merchant login I have got is the one from the Paypal Manager account. So at this step, is using “Partner, Merchant login, User (optional) and Password” from the Paypal Manager account for the Sandbox settings in your plugin correct or wrong?
==> Fact is I had error messages trying to place orders on my website such as “Invalid merchant information” without using “Partner, Merchant login, User (optional) and Password” of the Paypal Manager account for the Sandbox settings.
If i use these info for the Sandbox settings in your plugin then I have error messages such as “Timeout waiting for duplicate transaction to complete”.
At least it seems the merchant information are valid. Also I can not see any transaction in the Sandbox/overview/All activity page:
The only transaction you can see is a credit amount decided when creating the sandbox account.
I can see transactions in the PayPal Manager account/Reports/Daily Activity:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wyfz8b5d4uto4ue/6%20-%20manager.paypal.com%3AdailyActivityReport.jpg?dl=0
Again it seems logical to see the transactions in the PayPal Manager account and not the sandbox account with what I did with the settings but this is not what we want, right?
We want to use the sandbox but at the moment the sandbox is completely useless…And I can not place orders. I have error messages concerning the transactions such as “PayFlow API call failed.
Error Code: 107
Detailed Error Message: Timeout waiting for duplicate transaction to complete”Here is the log file:
I tried to place some orders yesterday and only one this morning but I see two attempts for this unique order.
Confused, lost and desperate I am. I really need your help, please.
Thank you in advance for telling me what I am doing wrong.

In reply to: [SparkPost] SMTP Method (Port 587 and Port 2525) does not workRajuru,
Given what I wrote above you can see that computing is not my background. Unfortunately…
Would you, please, tell me in a more understandable way what to do?I have followed a tutorial provided by my website’s hosting company. It seems that for you that was not the right thing to do:
“You’re telnet’ing from your computer? That’s actually inbound for the server. Try to telnet sparkpost (587, 2525) from inside your server.”So I replied:
“I am sorry but I don’t follow you. How can I telnet Sparkpost from inside my server? I don’t know how to do this.”And now you suggest that: “You can ssh to your server where the wordpress site (plugin) is installed. Then telnet from there.”
How to “ssh from my server”? It seems cool but you just get me lost..
——
I still don’t get why doing so when my hosting company just suggests to test the port with telnet from my computer. Anyway I am ready to follow your advice. I just dont know to ssh from my server.
Would you share your knowledge with me and make me your “apprentice”? For sure the Force of the ssh is strong with you.
Thanks in advance.

“You’re telnet’ing from your computer? That’s actually inbound for the server. Try to telnet sparkpost (587, 2525) from inside your server.”
I am sorry but I don’t follow you. How can I telnet Sparkpost from inside my server? I don’t know how to do this.

Here is what I did. On my hosting company site I found this article:
———————————
CHECKING YOUR OUTGOING MAIL SERVER (IS PORT 25 BLOCKED?)
INSTRUCTIONS
Type the following command:
telnet example.com 25View Results:
If Port 25 is not blocked, you will get a successful 220 response (text may vary).Trying 64.13.192.208…
Connected to example.com.
Escape character is ‘^]’.
220 cl34.gs01.gridserver.com ESMTP Exim 4.63 Tue, 24 Jun 2008 13:45:04 -0700If Port 25 is blocked, you will get a connection error or no response at all.
Trying 64.13.192.208…
telnet: connect to address 64.13.192.208: Connection refused
telnet: Unable to connect to remote hostYou can use this same technique to check if Port 587 is blocked as well. Just use the following command:
telnet example.com 587———————————
So unless I miss something using the terminal of my computer I have just followed what they recommend to do ?

Could you tell me how to telnet Sparkpost from inside my server?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

In reply to: [PayPal for WooCommerce] Refund of only "1.00" whatever the amount refundedHello,
I am in US. I have signed for a PayPal PRO account up that automatically created also a PayPal Manager account.
I even don’t know how I could have signed for JUST a “PayPal Advanced” or “Pro Hosted” account up?Here is the PayPal Service Summary. Does it answers your question?:

Here is the WooCommerce settings:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/npt7sr48znlpzyn/WooCommerce%20settings.png?dl=0
paypal_pro_payflow is ticked allowing to use “PayPal Payments Pro 2.0 (PayFlow)”.
When I tried to use “PayPal Website Payments Pro (DoDirectPayment)” then I unticked
paypal_pro_payflow and ticked paypal_pro.
Am I supposed to tick something else?
I would like to start again from scratch. Is there a table in phpmyadmin that has to be “cleaned up”…
Thanks for your help.
