In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] Aligning all email texts to leftThank you for your response, but I think I didn’t explain well. It’s not about alignment inside the text box. It’s about the whole email. Things like “View this newsletter in your browser.” and “Unsubscribe” are all centerized. Is there any way to align everything to left, just like a regular email? Thank you in advance.

In reply to: OK to delete unused theme files?Thank you for kindly testing! I’ll try going ahead with the deletion. Yes, I always update to the latest WP version upon release. Thanks!
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: OK to delete unused theme files? Thanks for the feedback! I use Commune theme, but have customized to the extent that no one can tell what theme I’m using. I’m a bit perfectionist, and wanted to remove all the redundant codes in the theme, redundant theme files (for example, I know author.php won’t be needed as I don’t archive posts by authors). Also, I’ve never updated the theme cos I know I’ll lose all the changes I’ve made.
Is it safe to remove all these files I list? I’m not very sure about taxonomy.php, though (not quite sure what this file is for).
Thanks in advance.
Thanks Richard for your help. Actually, I’ve set up a new sub domain and done a fresh install of WP and Jetpack plugin (only), then Like button is working (unless deactivating other modules of Jetpack). I’m happy with this solution. I’ll just move all my posts into sub domain so that I can use Like button. Thanks!
So far, tried the followings, but nothing has worked.
–deactivate all installed plugins but jetpack
–upgrade WP version to the latest (3.6.1)
–switch the theme back to default (twenty-twelve)No matter what I’ve tried, only 3 posts out of all 8 published posts always show Like button correctly (the rest shows “Loading…”).
I am increasingly feeling that there must be a bug.
Maybe the last resort is to set up a new sub domain site and do a fresh install of WP and Jetpack (only), and see how it goes…
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
Hello Pippin, thank you for kindly letting me know. I’m happy to wait till the official release, no worries. Thank you again, I always appreciate your help. ??
Umm, it’s not ideal to use “Redirect” method cos I’m planning to use “No Right Click Images Plugin” on my website (to protect my stock photos).
Anyways, never mind! I’ve had an occasion to test on IE9, and the download link in email works fine. So, this problem lies in IE8 only. In this case, I’ll just include a short note in purchase receipt email to let customers know that the link doesn’t work in IE8.
Thank you for your help!
Thanks for your reply! Sorry I didn’t get back earlier cos I forgot to subscribe the post. It’s now fixed by my web provider. Thanks!
Hello Pippin, thanks for your support. Here is the screenshots. 2nd image showing that IE8 thinks this is an HTML file, rather than a JPG file.

Hope it helps. Thank you!
Thanks Pippin for attending so fast. Yes, so far it has happened in IE8 only.
Had no problem with IE10, FireFox on PC. On Mac, all okay with Safari, Firefox and Chrome. I just happened to find this bug (?) cos my office PC still uses IE8, haha.
Thanks heaps for your help!
Sorry for cutting in. I guess the simplest solution to hide the statement (You have already purchased … etc) is adding the below to style.css
.edd_has_purchased {display: none !important;}
I also saw this statement popping up at an odd time (seems like), so now I always hide it. Cheers!
Pls let me update. “Download Method” is “Forced”. When I use “Redirect”, I don’t encounter this problem. Also, the file format is JPG.
One interesting thing I’ve found is that when I tried to download the purchased JPG image from “Purchase Confirmation” page, IE8 recognizes the file as JPG (pop-up says Type: JPEG image, 345KB) and let me download.
But, when trying to download from “Your Purchase Receipt” email, IE8 recognizes the file as HTML (pop-up says Type: HTML Document, 345KB), and returns the error message. Looks like IE8 cannot parse the full path (the very long one ended with “expire=MTM3NjcxNDIzNw%3D%3D”) correctly into JPG file?
FYI, with FireFox, I had no problem downloading from “Your Purchase Receipt” email (it recognizes the file as JPG).
Does this info help?
Ah, I see. Thank you for checking and confirming! Looking forward to ver 1.8.
Yes, yes. I set as follows. Large: $0.50, Medium: $0.30, Small: $0.10. 3 files with different size are available for download, and I don’t enable multi option purchase mode.
Thanks.
