Theramblingcrees, I’m very sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to on our end to fix this issue as we are leveraging WordPress builtin email functionality. However, there may be some things that you can do to resolve this.

One possible reason for this issue is that Outlook/Hotmail may be automatically filtering these messages into spam. Check your spam filter and make sure they were not filtered.

If that doesn’t resolve the problem then I recommend using a free MailChimp account and then using our OSD MailChimp Forms plugin. MailChimp’s email is much more reliable and customizable than emailing from WordPress itself (in fact, plugins that email from within WordPress for the purpose of newsletters are not considered good practice).

I’m sorry you are having this issue and I hope one of these options helps.

    SA8001,
Thank you for the review and your interest in OSD Subscribe. What you are asking for is possible and I have added it to a list of potential updates. However, as a development team we are moving away from sending emails strictly through WordPress (as it has been deemed bad practice). Instead, we have started integrating with a free account at MailChimp and then using our OSD MailChimp Forms plugin to allow email subscriptions. MailChimp can send many more emails than a typical web server can (many hosting providers limit emails to 200 per hour) and it allows you to track all the information you want (including adding a name field).

With that said, I may personally work on OSD Subscribe but I cannot make any guarantees.

    Kjhatzi,
We have tested this in Safari on desktop and iOS and cannot reproduce this issue. Here are two thoughts on why it might not be working:

    1. None of the buttons are enabled by default, so make sure you enable all the buttons you want and then click the save button.

    2. Even though very old versions of Safari should not have a problem displaying the stock icons, I am curious as to what version of Safari you are currently running, as this could be a contributing factor.

Please respond to this thread if you are still having trouble.

    Tracey,

Thank you for finding this! We are in process of writing a JS fix that will still hold true to our “not loading any external libraries” mantra. We hope to have it live later today.

If my guess is correct, make sure in the “Button Style” column that “Icon” is selected when you are trying to add your own custom icon. Let us know – OSD

    Hi Tracey,

I am having a little trouble understanding what exactly is happening on your site with the plugin. Could you clarify a little? Are you trying to upload your own image to use as the pinterest button and are having trouble?

Happy to help, good ratings appreciated! – thanks – OSD

You are correct. When someone is unsubscribed, they are unsubscribed from all categories they have previously subscribed to. The intent is that if a user wants to unsubscribe (and they have previously subscribe to 3 separate categories on 3 separate forms) they can just unsubscribe once. Then, if they desire to be subscribed again to one of those categories, they can just resubscribe to that one category.

This would be a nice feature and I think I have an elegant and easy to implement solution. It will be looked into.

    Thank you for the request.

I have verified that OSD Subscribe works on live sites. However, OSD Subscribe leverages wordpress’s wp_mail function. Therefore, if WordPress/PHPMailer/ or PHP’s mail function have any problems with their configuration, this plugin will not work properly. Testing a site on localhost may or may not work depending on how your configuration is set up. Some other plugins work differently. All the ones I have seen leverage the same wp_mail function. I cannot find an issue with the plugin, but I apologize you are having these issues.

    Greg,
Thank you for the detailed description of your problem and reporting that bug! I have released an update that should take care of the issue. You were right, the quick edit save was causing some trouble.

Please let me know if the update is working correctly.

    Thanks – osd

This seems to be a problem with WordPress and/or your server configuration. I just tested another plugin and it cannot sends emails either.

I have noticed this issue occurring after this weekend. I am currently working on this issue now.
