Thank you for your interest in our plugin! We still use this plugin for all of our active sites and we have not run into any issues, so we have not had a need to update it recently. However, as a company we have largely moved away from developing WordPress sites and we cannot maintain the plugins as much as we have in the past. The code is provided freely and is able to be modified and redistributed in accordance with the provided licenses.

Sorry for the delay. As a company, we have not worked on WordPress as much in the past year. We will be getting back to it in the near future as we wrap up some current projects. Long story short: this plugin is still supported, we just haven’t had the bandwidth to address these types of plugin issues for the past year.

Georgio, we are unfortunately unfamiliar with Buddypress. As it stands, OSD SMS is able to be put on any public post type. It seems like buddypress is restricting some content editing based on a permission level.

As a side note, you can include OSD SMS in your template code by using the following:

echo do_shortcode(“[osd_social_media_sharing]”);

The solution Georgio provided should work. Just be aware that this will remove wptexturize from your whole site. This may or may not be an issue.

I’m not sure I understand what the problem is. Could you explain what your desired behavior would be?

This plugin works for users who are not logged in. If you are not seeing the blog search widget, there is something else going on in your theme. If you have widget visibility enabled, make sure that there aren’t any settings giving you undesirable results.

Not without editing the code unfortunately. Emailing a full post to all subscribers can be taxing on the server if you have many subscribers. In addition, the goal of a subscription email is to drive users back to your site. Unfortunately, we do not support this plugin anymore because it is a bad practice to send emails from a WordPress install.

You can create an unsubscribe page just like any other page you would create on your site. After you have created the page, you can then set the “Unsubscribe Page” in the settings page for OSD Subscribe.

OSD Social Media Sharing has be updated to use HTTPS in all endpoints. Please download the 3.5.5 release and let me know if your issue is resolved or not.

Great suggestions. We will definitely look into a new release including these and other suggestions as of late.

For now on #2 try just putting a space in the to address and see if that can bandaid until the release.
