I ended up making a backup of my blog and completely reinstalling everything from scratch. I guess some updates just completely screw up entire media libraries.

While I really appreciate your quick reply and your effort, I regret to inform you this doesn’t seem to work. It only inserts the “attachment ID” of the correct media file but not the actual path to the file. Also, it does not seem to be able of pulling the header information for parent categories, but I guess I didn’t mention that in the original post…

WPyogi, why can’t I just stick around and see if anybody else can fix this problem? I have the exact same issue as noukka, why do I need a separate thread?

Thanks for your quick reply. I have been staring at the place edit screen and just don’t understand how I add a meta field.

I know this function exists when editing posts, but it doesn’t seem to appear when editing places…

Or maybe I am missing something completely obvious. Any further help is greatly appreciated.

Oh dear, I don’t know an awful lot about PHP, but that does seem to be the issue here.

I just really liked the way wordpress allows me to have the permalinks structured as /%year%/%month%/%postname%/, unfortunately I do not quite understand what you recommend to bypass this, since, as I said, I don’t know an awful lot about PHP…

I was hoping I just need to change some settings somewhere, but if this is a general PHP issue there is little hope for me and my obscure problem…

I have the same problem but I’ve been using WordPress on an other website for years now and I’ve never had a problem. Now on the new server I can’t edit any themes because they just switch back to what they were before editing as soon as I save.
I’m also using Firefox for years now but I don’t see why this should be the problem…
