Stable release is at 100%. At the moment I’m working on translating the Readme’s. After that’s done, I’ll try to convert everything to German (Formal).

Never mind about the “translatable” %s…%s strings. The stable release is now at 98% and can be downloaded! (just had to delete the old local .po/.mo files by hand)
Looks good so far! As it shows the “translated” hyperlinks still work accordingly. Pure magic! ??

Still the question about the context of “review” (see above).

Other strings I’m unsure about are these:

“Top” – as in “Go to the top” or more as in “the top of something”?

I would translate this to:

The variable in %s…%s has changed now! Will the hyperlink to the support forum still work anyway? I wonder where the URL for the support forum is stored, but probably not in the strings themselves.

Guess I will be able to translate and validate some strings of the stable release on the weekend.

So, a string like %ssupport page%s can be translated to %sHilfe-Seite%s, and the hyperlink still works nevertheless?

I started translating some strings yesterday and will see what I can do. Most untranslated strings are from the add-on, so I cannot see them in the frontend to get a better understanding. But I do my best.

I’m not sure what %sstring%s actually does. Is it simply to highlight text (bold, underlined, etc.) or is it some kind of variable path?
In other words – should strings within %s…%s also be translated or kept untouched?

Sorry, I was not aware of that 95% barrier, and I thought a plugin author has general validator rights.

Well, so far I never worked with Glotpress, only modified some po/mo-files for personal use.
But I would give it a try as PTE for german and hope to get at least the stable release above 95%.

I’m on vacation at the moment and downgraded to 2.5.19 anyway, but I’m quite sure that “hide featured image…” was not checked when I upgraded to 2.5.21 before.
If it’s theme related, I use Nirvana theme from CryoutCreations.

I downloaded the database backup , unzipped it (.gz) and found just one big file that backups all database tables.
I was able to open this file with notepad and searched for the guestbook entries. Everything’s there, also the smileys are shown correctly.

It seems there is no direct problem with the table collation.

Maybe it’s a small bug when Updraftplus restores it’s own database backup. I don’t know.
I only wonder why smileys in normal post comments get restored without any problem.

PhpMyAdmin tells me most tables are “utf8mb4_unicode_ci”, some others are “utf8_general_ci”. The 2 gwolle tables are “utf8mb4_unicode_ci”.

Same here! Since 2.5.21 (or even 2.5.20) no featured images anymore in single-event view! Temporarly fixed it by downgrading to 2.5.19 again.

In the footer area of every page there are 3 widgets, the one on the right side showing a Google Maps Image of our school building (tagged “Hier finden Sie uns”). That’s the culprit.
