In reply to: WP stripping out center and script tagsI have two examples, both of which have happened in the last two days. I’ve since had to fix them so they displayed correctly, but here are the links:
https://www.cinemasight.com/this-day-in-oscar-history-december-14-2012/
https://www.cinemasight.com/this-day-in-oscar-history-december-13-2012/The top parts of these threads, where the images are, is saved and scheduled with the center tags surrounding them. After they had been posted, I noticed the tags had been removed.
https://www.cinemasight.com/poll-best-actor-2003-2007/
https://www.cinemasight.com/poll-what-are-you-watching-dec-14-16-2012/Both of these polls have the poll code as you see it now when I scheduled them. After they went live, half the code was missing from them.
I won’t have another one to post until Sunday, so I can’t say for sure if it will be a problem on these latter two links. On the former two, the next one posts in the morning. I’ve examined the code in the currently-scheduled post and the center tags are there. If they are stripped out when it posts in the morning, that will be the third day in a row it’s happened.

In reply to: Titles of Author, Subscriber, etcAs an addon to this, is it possible to force the use of First/Last Name in posts or will it always use your handle?

In reply to: Missed Schedule IssueYes. I asked if there was something going on with the host during those specific time periods (such as maintenance) that would cause an interruption for this kind of situation. I was told that they thought it was a wordpress issue as it didn’t seem like a server-side issue.

In reply to: andNote. I have resolved the issue of it adding <p> tags after </div> tag closures by changing the divs to spans; however, the problem persists that it’s adding <p> tags but never closing them. If there’s a way to switch from opening new lines with <p> to closing line breaks with a

In reply to: Missed Schedule and Akismet Issues?I’ve already started working on that. Does the WP-Cron file have to have specific file settings (377 or 577 or 777 or something?) in order to work. Not sure if that might have accidentally been changed. Just trying to figure out what might be wrong with it.

In reply to: Missed Schedule and Akismet Issues? That post on akismet seems to indicate the issue is fixed, but my Akismet plugin says this: “A DNS problem or firewall is preventing all access from your web server to Akismet.com. Akismet cannot work correctly until this is fixed.”
I wonder if that could have something to do with it. I haven’t made changes to any of my plugins since this cron job issue started. It occurred once on a post that should have gone at 6am this mornnig and another scheduled for 11am. The 6am one I scheduled Saturday to post today, but the 11am one I finished this morning and scheduled it for 11am today.

In reply to: Missed Schedule and Akismet Issues? That’s strange considering I’ve never had that problem before (with the cron). And I visit the site quite frequently…is there a way to make sure that file is working? I mean I have comments posted at several points today and yesterday, so I’m not sure why it wouldn’t be activating.

In reply to: Scrolling IssueUnfortunately, the computer I’m having this problem on is XP and therefore cannot use IE9. In addition, we’re not permitted to download and install other browsers, so I guess I’m gonna just be annoyed in perpetuity.

In reply to: Scrolling IssueSomeone suggested that this was a mouse issue, but it does not appear to be. On other sites, I seem to have no problem with random scrolling. And when I move my mouse away from the text and over the windows menu bar, the issue persists. Also, it’s something that occurs even when I’m not moving my mouse and am just typing information into the text box. It will randomly just move back up half the text box. The cursor doesn’t move, but the wall of text does.

In reply to: Issue with post.phpI uploaded both folders in full last night and I still get the “Done with errors” load message on the post.php script. And like I said before, it seems to be happening only in MSIE 8. Firefox is working fine.
