In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Three] Sticky Not WorkingThanks. I created a group above the main block, then added the header block to that. It makes sense now that I think of it. The main block being “sticky” would mean it wouldn’t “stick” until you reached the bottom of that section rather than the top part of the block sticking.

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Three] Sticky Not WorkingThat’s the answer, it’s nested. I moved it into the group block so I could limit its width. If there were a way to set the width of the header block outside of the nesting, then that would be nice.

In reply to: Setting Site Width with BlocksThere’s nowhere to put in a width for the header, that’s part of my problem. I can set width for the various column blocks, which is how I’ve managed to get everything to the width I want but that doesn’t seem to impact the header.
Won’t setting justify-content: center just make every single column on the site center when some of them have content that I don’t want to center?
And why can you adjust the footer width but not the header width?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Setting Site Width with BlocksI’m using blocks, which doesn’t make it easy to add CSS. I found out where to do it but this was entirely designed through block editing off the 2023 theme.

In reply to: Setting Site Width with BlocksAnd I also need to center the whole thing rather than letting it sit left-aligned.

In reply to: Website Not Displaying CorrectlyNever mind. Now it’s working. I so detest Windows.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Website Not Displaying CorrectlyI visit the site on another computer and it works just fine, so there’s something wrong and I don’t know what it is. I didn’t know if there was something with Windows 11 that prevents certain types of html from displaying correctly…and since it’s on every browser I try, it suggests an issue with the Windows, but I have no clue what it is or how to even fix it.

In reply to: Menu Cutting OffThanks. I’ve added that tag and applied globally, but it still doesn’t seem to have any effect.

In reply to: Menu Cutting OffI needed to have text over an image and I couldn’t get what was there to work, but the cover block worked exactly as I wanted it. The header block is still there, but the cover block is inset into the header block.
As to that code, I inserted it into the CSS and it doesn’t seem to have changed anything.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: How to Transfer an Existing Theme DesignThat worked on a site that had no prior alterations to the theme, but when I uploaded it to a site that I’d already been tinkering with, the old elements were still there and nothing changed. I’m trying to test a design before installing it on my main site since it seems that WordPress is not designed to test themes before activating them.
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: How to Transfer an Existing Theme DesignI’m afraid that isn’t the answer. The .zip file it downloaded only contained the theme files, not any of the customizations.
Every article I found on importing/exporting the customized settings said I had to install a plugin. Is that the only option?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: User Registration with BlocksWell that’s inconvenient. You would think a primary element to WordPress isn’t included in the base set of blocks?

In reply to: Shortcode Not WorkingI had started using the Query Loops but got frustrated with them very quickly because they didn’t seem to do what I wanted them to do, but I’ll give it a try again see if I can get them to work right this time.

In reply to: Shortcode Not WorkingWill the query loop block allow me to select posts by tag? I tried the latest posts block and it didn’t have an option for tags.
