The other option might be if I could import products without the products catagory so that the items came in with permalinks like organicalchemy.com/soap That works for me to and then I could just create a products or shop page or post and format that as my shop page. Anyway…THANK YOU!!!!!!

Thank you. I know how to edit the items, but there is a catagory created when the items are imported which creates a catagory “page” called products. So that if I import my soaps, I get a permalink for one that might be organicalchemy.net/products/pinksoap. Well if I go to organicalchemy.net/products it gives me a list of all the products as an archived page…but I did not create this “page” or catagory or whatever (I don’t think I’m calling it by it’s correct name and I’m sorry) and I cannot find it to access it to make any edits. I installed another plugin that does allow you to edit other catagory archive pages, but I don’t know where to find this one. Like I said I just want to make that cataory “page”, look more like a shop page and less like an ongoing list of random items.
This is the products catagory page created by etsyimporter that I would like to edit, but can’t find. Organicalchemy.net/products You will see all my imported listings as long posts, what I want to do is edit this “page” or whatever it is so that they are either summary posts or better yet just images. I’m find if the change I make to the product catagory “page” effects other catagories. Hope this clarifies what I’m trying to do and I apologize that I don’t have all of the correct language and terms to express more clearly. Thank you so much for helping me with this. It is appreciated more than you can imagine.

I’m trying to acccess and edit the actual products catagory posts “page” that is created when you import products. When each product comes in you get a post with a permalink like this yoursite.com/products/soap. What I want to edit is the yoursite.com/products “page”, but it doesn’t show up in any of the catagories and I don’t know how to access it and I’m not a website designer. I do, however, make great soap. LOL! Thanks for your help.

Ultimately, what I would like to do is to use the wptiles plugin to list the products on the products “page”, so that they are organized and not just a long page of full length posts (I’ve tried changing to summary in the general settings and wordpress just laughs at me.)
