Thank you,
Can you please point me towards the NextGen Gallery namespace requirements?you refer to? I have not been able to locate them.
To be clear, I have uploaded a custom PHP file to my wp-content/ngg/modules/photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails/templates directory, which seems to be what is required, and I have that file selected in the plugin settings.
It is still showing up at my end, and I’m on my work computer at the moment (as opposed to my personal computer where I usually work on the website). Are you looking at https://orenstransitpage.com/nextgen-gallery-test-page/?
The same result occurs if I use a different lightbox effect. I can confirm I used the visual insert method for the gallery.
Is it possible that a change in the php might have caused this? I don’t recall changing it for any reason but figured I’d ask and raise the possibility.
Yes, here is that page: https://orenstransitpage.com/nextgen-gallery-test-page/
Sure, here it is:
[ngg_images source="galleries" container_ids="390" display_type="photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails" override_thumbnail_settings="0" thumbnail_width="240" thumbnail_height="160" thumbnail_crop="1" images_per_page="48" number_of_columns="4" ajax_pagination="0" show_all_in_lightbox="1" use_imagebrowser_effect="0" show_slideshow_link="0" slideshow_link_text="[Show slideshow]" template="/home8/orenstra/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/view/gallery-caption.php" order_by="alttext" order_direction="ASC" returns="included" maximum_entity_count="500"]

For the organization I run the website for, this isn’t the time of year where we are running the program where we solicit the donations in a significant way, and we’re all volunteers, so our collective attention has shifted to other projects for now. I can circle back and investigate this further sometime in the spring when we begin planning for next fall.

In reply to: Issues after SSL installThanks for the help, I found the issue(s) within the .htaccess file with your guidance.

In reply to: Issues after SSL installThank you.
I had WP Multisite with subdomains working with domain mapping before. Is there a reason that enabling SSL would somehow impact that domain mapping? I can’t figure out which part of the installation was or might have been impacted as a result of these changes, though based on your response it seems like it might be an issue with how Bluehost is associating the “add on” domain name. My wordpress install is in public_html/wordpress, but I have the htaccess configured so the /wordpress part isn’t in the URL names. I would like to think if I had some sense of where to look for what might be broken, I could resolve the issue through some trial error and troubleshooting procedures I’ve undertaken before, but it is unclear to me where the problem might even lie right now and how adding the SSL would have resulted in the server trying to find physical folders instead of the WP databases.

In reply to: 501 Errors on Network Admin PanelI followed those instructions when I initially gave WordPress its own directory. The htaccess file got longer and more complex due to the caching instructions and due to needing to set up 301 redirects from the pre-wordpress configuration. The multisite install I only did more recently but things worked properly until then.
I tried going back to a blank htaccess file and adding in the commands one by one but was not able to determine which command or commands is causing the trouble. Any ideas for how to troubleshoot this are appreciated.

In reply to: 501 Errors on Multisite Network Admin PanelWould moving the orenstransitpage.com site back in to the wordpress directory make any difference?
Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: 501 Errors on Multisite Network Admin PanelThanks for the suggestion, I don’t see any changes in the code there however, unless you thought I should completely edit the part where it says # BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c> and leave out the </IfModule> tag at the end. I did make the change and it doesn’t seem to have had any effect.I use a slightly modified version of the legacy gallery-caption template that has the gallery description appear above the thumbnails. You can see it at orenstransitpage.com/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/view/gallery-caption.php
So for those of us who were using a legacy template (because IIRC you once told me that one can’t write a PHP command to have the more up to date templates call for the gallery description above the images), what do you recommend? Is there a “behind the scenes fix” aside from going through each and every page with an album and/or gallery to update them with your new generated shortcodes? Or some other approach that I might want to consider?
Thanks,
OrenThank you for all your help with this. I did the uninstall/reinstall as you suggested and things seem to be working properly now.

And doing so will not impact my database, albums, etc? All the data will reappear upon reinstallation? (Yes, I will backup everything first.)
What does the “reset options” button do exactly? It isn’t one I’ve ever had to press.
