When I remove my custom category base permalink, it works just fine. Why can’t I use my own language?

There’s nothing wrong with the permalinks. It’s a widget problem.

And what do you mean by “custom menu”? The widget itself is wordpress’, and I chose widgets in the menu.

It gets fixed. I tried to encode the Hebrew string, and this time it looked like it worked (the URL), but then any category page becomes the home page (and still has its own URL).

It’s not in English, but in Hebrew… Here it is.
