Thank you very much for your detailed explanation.

Frankly, my phone is a quite high-end smartphone (launched in 2015) and I’m sure it has “enough power”. Actually I’ve tested quite a number of responsive menu plugins (e.g. WP Mobile Menu, Responsive Menu) and the transition is very smooth. So far I haven’t encountered the ‘gap’ issue with all the sites that I’ve come across (which have a hamburger menu).

Anyway, it’s not a big deal. Since the transition is pretty smooth on an iPhone, I’ll just leave it as it is for now.

I’ve tested the ShiftNav plugin using the latest iPhone 6 Plus (Safari) and the menu is pretty “seamless”.

However, the gap occurs when I view in on my Samsung phone (Samsung Galaxy A7, Android Lollipop, Chrome browser).

Did you notice there’s a “white gap” when I click on the hamburger icon?

Anyway, the last column still not display perfectly but it’s much better than the previous look.
