Yes, the back up created with updraft is a .gz file but updraft doesn’t recognise it.

I have tried to add another product with a gallery and this has the anticipated behaviour in respect of the gallery where you can add them and move them around and delete but they dont display on the page when I view the product, slightly different issue but are they related?

Yes i know the product gallery box is there but the images are not! They are not there though they show up on the page!

any other ideas?

OK – so after a few hours of checking all the settings

Changing the ID of wp_posts to auto-increment solved the issue

I did this in phpmyadmin, select the database table wp-posts and edit the id row, select autoincrement, save

I have now tried this and it still doesnt work

It sounds like your account may have lost admin privileges for some reason.

Access your database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel), go to the wp_users table and find the row for your user_login . Note the ID of this row. Now, go to the wp_usermeta table and find the wp_capabilities row for your user_id . Set the value of this row to a:1:{s:13:”administrator”;b:1;}

OK – have found out what it is – there is a custom field box that needed to be completed to show any posts.

I have creating a static home page and manually adding code to show posts and having a dynamic front page (standard wordpress show posts page) and nothing seems to work – I know the posts are there as you can see them through the menu
