  • I managed to fix that part – for future reference I deleted the files for the alternate domains I had added in cuteFtp instead of over SSH and somehow I removed the previously created zone file too, I had to add it again and voila, things now work.

But I now have a different issue lovely Andrea :0) I cannot get into the back-end of 3 out of the 4 sites that I have mapped domains to, the strange thing is that one of them I can….cookies perhaps, investigating now…

Thanks for all of your hard work Andrea, great plugin!

I think this is on topic Andrea as I came to this thread after a search of Media Temple grid servers and domain mapping – but my issue is (I followed the instructions, pointed domain to MT Name Servers, created alternate domain then deleted files, created symlink and all looks fine as I can see my domain is attempting to look for the site barilochehostel.net in the cybergypsy.eu installation with domain mapping, takes breath) that when I enable domain mapping the site disappears. When I try to type in barilochehostel.cybergypsy.eu nothing is there.
    I’m stumped.
The thing is that I did move the whole site from a VPS to Media Temple’s grid server, the domain mapping was working fine on the VPS.
    Any ideas my lovelies?

I had the same issue and for now my solution was to disable the plugin and then enable it on a blog by blog basis rather than site-wide.

The good thing is that once disabled, then enabled again, it didn’t touch any of the galleries created already. However, in the blogs that I had the gallery up and running in there was a strange error message, this occurred only once upon visiting the plugin page after – it didn’t seem to be an issue but it might frighten your users into sending a support email.

It’s a great plugin and would benefit from something that would simply tell a user that they need to create the tables (as do plugins like Contact Form 7 that tell you that the tables need creating on first use).

Thanks for the time you put into a great plugin Alex.
