In reply to: [OOPSpam Anti-Spam] How does comment spam work for donation formsHey @shelleygiese
In forms (including donation forms) where there is no message field, the plugin checks the donor’s IP and email reputation.
Thanks,
Mike

In reply to: [OOPSpam Anti-Spam] Free credits not updatingHi,
The usage numbers will be updated as soon as you receive your first submission.
Also make sure that the API key is valid. If you have a browser extension like a password manager, it may interfere when you paste the API key.
Let me know know how it goes.
Thanks,
- Mike

In reply to: [OOPSpam Anti-Spam] Won`t Stop Known SPAMMERSThanks for getting back to us.
It’s important to set the Sensitivity Level to 3. This must be reason why they went through. Make sure to update the plugin to the latest version too.
Also did you enable spam protection for Elementor Forms in the plugin setting? The usage number is update with each submission that is why it’s 0/0. Once you get your first submission (spam or not), the usage number should be updated.
You can test your form with the blocked emails and message examples from our documentation to make sure everything ok.- This reply was modified 1 year, 9 months ago by OOPSpam Team.

In reply to: [OOPSpam Anti-Spam] Won`t Stop Known SPAMMERSHi @jppl ,
Thanks for the review and sorry for that.
Those types of spam are obvious ones as you pointed out. We stop millions of them every month but there could a reason why they did go though. You can confirm this by copying the message and testing it on our dashboard.
There could you a few reasons why they were not filtered:
- Your account reached its 40 spam checks limit. After this, you may get spam.
- Misconfiguration. This is common as the Sensitivity Level , API key source, Spam protection for Elementor form settings need to correctly configured.
- A day ago we fixed a bug in removal of sensitive data from the content field that caused false negatives.
If you reconsider giving OOPSpam another chance, please reach out to the support ([email protected]) and we will look into it together. We’re happy to help!
Here is an example of Eric’s spam and it gets a maximum spam score.Cheers,

In reply to: [OOPSpam Anti-Spam] Divi compatibleHi,
Are you referring to Divi Contact Form? If so, it doesn’t support it.
But if you are using any other contact form builders (e.g Fluent Forms), then OOPSpam supports majority of them. Check out the plugin Details to view supported forms.
Thanks

In reply to: [OOPSpam Anti-Spam] Support for Kadence formsI appreciate it!
We’re are happy to support it once a hook for form validation is available.

In reply to: [OOPSpam Anti-Spam] Support for Kadence formsThanks for the feature request, Wendell!
I just did a quick search on their docs, and it seems they don’t provide any hook for their Form. For a stable integration, we only integrate form builders that do provide this type of hook.
We’ll keep an eye on their change log ??
Cheers,
