Thanks so much for explaining your position and reasons. I didn’t find many block based subscriber plugins but i will check again.

I thought more about the newsletter part after my post, I think i’d prefer to keep the newsletter in the email marketing side as i do use different tech, not just WP for content.

really, Thanks for sharing this solution too.. i was looking in all the wrong places for this solution but disabling the jQuery was the fix!
