Hello, thanks but try everything, disabling all plugins but doesn’t work on my Dev site in Xampp bu it’s working on production site(online). I am using Xampp with default settings exept for MySQL port: 3308…any other idea?

I try it again with same result even in admin. And as I said it was working fine in version 3.3 : didn’t change any restriction after upgrade.

I don’t know if it’s a conflict with visual composer but for sure I had to revert to version 3.3.1 because last version of content analysis freeze my pages: almost impossible to edit because 100% of cpu use. By the way I am in a french system with french wordpress and content.

One thing is sure is that Yoast do not detect <h2> tags done by visual composer…which bring bad results in content analysis.

easy : conflict with “so-clean-up-wp-seo” plugin. Disabling that plugin bring back everything to “normal”

easy: multi-role by example when a customer buy a certain category product my code assign him autoamticly a specific user role connected to the catgeory of the product. It means that if a user buy a product with category “A” then a product with category “B” he will have user role : customer, A, B.

But under UM you didn’t check that a user may have few roles( it’s a wordpress feature) and so when applying new community role you keep only the last role, not all of them.

My code is very usefull because it assign the right category to a customer depending on what he buy. Of course it depends on what kind of product you sell. In my case I have only course and not more than 20 different categories.

Does it reply to your question ?

thanks for your answers but for me you should consider this:

I have made test like “user role” and “WPFront User Role Editor” plugins.

about point 3:
If there is no normalization about slug you can see that by default wp is using underscore in place of space and minuscule with no accent. That’s the choice at least of wpfront and I must admit that it makes dev easier. With AAM you have to name your new role first with underscore then rename it without underscore to get nice user display…which is complicate and error source (I know what I say here ?? )

About multiple roles: under “wpfront” you can have multiple role like “user role” but you can also assign which one is the principal one and much more interresting you can edit all second roles…which is not the case in AAM. To edit second user role you have first to add a snippets to be able to enable or disable second roles and then disable the principal role to access second role for a particular user….very heavy process.

I think you should really think about it because for me as developper my choice will go to WP if I can’t get this at least in the pro version. Sorry to be rude but as you know managing role is really a big work so the more feature you have and the more simple it’is is really important.

So why I do not sweetch NOW to wpfront ? because I like your UI very easy to use…and I know you are very dynamic ! so ? ?? Let me know if you can do something.

Yes but could be a great idea to allow more: I am using multiple role allocation to select “who” is able to see “what” example:

a customer buy a “special_weekend” course…he is assigned to customer role by wp (or woocommerce ?) by default but the course category is “special_weekend”. That category allow customer to access in theory to “special_weekend” tutorial pages. For that I need to add “special_weekend” role to his roles as wp allow multiple roles. It is much more simple to do that than to add capabilities and more powerful because when I want that category to have a new capabalitie it’s instantly available for all user of the category.

Sooo ! I need the way to manage those different roles and at least to see them in your application. To really manage roles I am using Advanced Access Manager which is great but missing that feature too (for now…dev is very responsive and dynamic!) and with your plugin which is great too it’s almost the perfect solution !

So whenever you are ready to add it to your application let me now: I am the perfect beta test man! ??

In fact there is already a plugin to do so “Multiple Roles per User”

but problem:

when adding a user role to a specific user you can see under user name that AAM detect all user role but you in the backend menu you can access lower user role. By example I do add to a user who have a “customer” role a custom role call “new_user_role” but I can’t access that user role for that specific user and add specific capability.

I am in a process to finish the e-commerce part of my site so don’t have unfortunatly much time for advanced test but it look like I steel have problems with permalink but don’t know where is the problem : your plugin ? Ultimate member manager ? Adavnced access manager ? As I found a workaround I can’t tell yet. Workaround ? disable the 3 plugin, change the categorie and re-enable plugins. This said I am alos satying with UMM 1.3.36 because upgrading is worst.
