I just rolled back my site files and db backup from the Backupbuddy dashboard.

It’s been spinning away for one hour now on the first plugin scan. Oh brother!

Thumbnail does not show in Chrome, FF or IE. Followed all the above instructions. API passes as good. No success in display of map thumbnail.

I started something I should not have. I have retreated and retracted willingly and without concern for appearances or further analysis. It’s called defeat. Make of it what you wish as I have no intelligent explanation beyond apology and defeat. I am a lowly tinkerer/hobbyist who deconstructs as a learning exercise. In the future, I will read/investigate more before posing so as to avoid ill-phrased/abrasive questions. It is starkly apparent that I am ignorant of the nuances, technicalities and organizational order. And so, without contention, argument or malice, I let it go.

I humbly retract my obviously uninformed question of plugin exclusivity.
Lesson learned: Don’t question or criticize members of a club you don’t belong to.
OK, I’m stupid and out of place. I apologize for taking up space and time on this. I wasn’t expecting such a brutal assault.

Looking at all the threads both here and the authors site, it is evident the author offers zero support!

THIS WORKS:

1. Remove the site from Gears list. (ignore if no Gears)
2. Disable the Gears.
3. Clear browser cache.
4. Reinstall WP 2.8 or reupload through tools/upgrade (overwrite) wp-admin and wp-includes folder.
5. Clear browser cache (if you choose reinstall way).
6. Enabling Gears.
7. Login to wp-admin and re-enabled Turbo-Gears.
8. Enjoy.

Thank you for posting the “ibox” link. After several failed attempts with other hyped-up WP plugins I was getting frustrated. ibox worked right off, and allows more customization than some of the other plugins.

Try plain old wp-cache or head-space plugins.

After several attempt to get this to work, I give up. I upped my memory limit to 300MB and am still returned a memory allocation error. I disable all the memory hungry plugins and still not effect.

If you haven’t received an answer yet…
What you need to do is place the following code into your footer.php file:
<?php wp_footer(); ?>
That will take care of that problem.

Are you confusing pages with posts?
You won’t see a page template option when writing a post, only when writing a page.
Also, the procedure for having separate sidebars on custom pages is… well… not a simple thing to do.
Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Did you get a response? I am curious because it appears to me that the author had dropped support for this or gone on vacation (extended).
