In reply to: [OneSignal - Web Push Notifications] New Plugin UpdateHello, the feature where we set the push title as the post title and push content as the post content was causing a lot of issues for customers so we changed it back to the original behavior in version 3.0.5 where the “Site Name” set within the onesignal.com dashboard as the push title and the post title as the push content.
If you want to customize it, you can do so by selecting the “Customize notification content” checkbox in the post itself: https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/wordpress#publish-a-post-to-send-a-notification
Thank you for your feedback!
Hi there!
Just to make sure I understand, in the OneSignal WordPress plugin settings, you would like 2 toggles:
1. “Automatically send notifications when a post is published” – when selected, the push will be sent when the post is first published.
2. Another button “Automatically send when a post is updated” – when selected, the push will be sent when the post is updated.
If button 1 is selected and button 2 is not selected, it will send only when the post is first published and not when updated (unless specifically selected in the post).
Am I understanding correctly?

In reply to: [OneSignal - Web Push Notifications] New Plugin UpdateHi everyone, we released version 3.0.4 of the WordPress plugin yesterday which should address:
- the “disabled” send to mobile subscriptions button
- added back the UTM parameter options
- added option to automatically have the “send notification” button checked
- various bug fixes and improvements
Can you update to this version and let us know if you are still having issues?
?
Thank you!Forum: Plugins

Thank you for your input! We will take this as a feature request. For now, you may want to implement your own code to do this if needed.
You can create a button and use our optIn and optOut methods to either subscribe or unsubscribe the user: https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/web-sdk-reference#optin
If you have any further questions or feature requests, please use our [email protected] email to contact us directly.

Hello, this is likely some kind of cacheing issue and simply clearing the cache or disabling it, updating the setting, then enabling it should fix it.

In reply to: [OneSignal - Web Push Notifications] Gutenberg onlyHi there, best way to do this is to use our Create Message API directly: https://documentation.onesignal.com/reference/create-message
We will look into adding this as a feature update and can continue in this thread:

In reply to: [OneSignal - Web Push Notifications] New Plugin UpdateHello, sorry to hear you had a hard time with our new update. This is designed to make a better experience going forward and we appreciate your input. Please make sure to follow our documentation when upgrading. This is a large upgrade https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/wordpress
You can now configure the web prompts through the onesignal.com dashboard directly like a non-wordpress integration would: https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/permission-requests
We will look into adding these features:
- send with custom post types
- use posts featured image
- send notification to ios and android is done in the plugin settings
- activate push by default (auto-turn on)
- utm parameters
The notification title is now the post title and the body is the first few characters of the post.
You can set notification settings in the onesignal.com dashboard now.
If you need further assistance, please reach out to [email protected] with your website URL using our plugin and we will be happy to investigate if you are having issues!
