Newsletter theme never had an issue.
I will check it first if I see something weird.

I have made a custom feed-theme and in the theme I get the the_excerpt(); from the most recent posts.
I checked the feed-1 example to be sure I’m not missing anything and all seems fine.
The invalid character (?) was also visible in the site theme on the frontend that is in utf-8.

I have send a support request via the newsletter website. Is there any update on this? The newsletter did not go out to all the subscribers this Monday and this is the second update in one month that has “disrupted” the feed by mail functionality. Sending a test to the test group worked so after the update I thought it was ok but it was not.

When I check the plugin I see:
Last updated: 2 weeks ago.
It seems to me that this update is responsible for the issue as it worked fine before for a couple of years what I am still thankful of.

Yes it was a custom theme uploaded to that themes folder.
It was gone and the feed by mail was now setup to use the theme “Pin” however it did not go out this morning like it did the last 5 years.
Like I said. There was a newsletter update 1,5 weeks ago with no information what it would do.
I waited one week to see if this info would come available but it did not.
So after one week I decided to update after all after making a backup.
After the update I did not check feed by mail as all looked good and I get more updates from the module that always go well.
But this time things went wrong and I know for sure that I’m the only one that has access to that theme directory and no, I did not delete the theme myself for the customer.. why would I.

No. It was a custom uploaded theme and it was gone.

Actually after adjusting it the mixed content warnings were gone.
It’s too long ago to remember exactly how and what if I have time tomorrow I will get back on that.
Anyway my client is now able to use the module without errors after these adjustments. (see the other related cases from me regarding the Bol module)

I think that I understand what is going on.
The latest versions of Windows will use display scaling options.

Firefox on Windows is now following display scaling options which may render text larger on high resolution displays.

After I changed this in my firefox config I could see the bottom of the product link popup window.
However, I think that this should be fixed within the module as I expect that not a lot of users will know where and how to fix this.

I hope for a response from the developer to acknowledge these issues.
Otherwise every new plugin-update will break the plugin.

I added a new product to the page after I enabled short tags and I see a product now on the productpage.
But please explain where and why short tags are used and mandatory for this module?

I enabled Short tags now in the server config. Still nothing…

Using php short tags is bad coding standard.

Please change this in the new release as it will be deprecated in the future PHP releases.

I also have it “off” in the server settings.
