1 other weird thing to notify you about when I test register I dont get any email notifications but somehow spammers are registering and sending comments and im getting those emails

this is a very weird issue.

When users try to register they can and are added to the database but they never get their password emailed?

Anyone has a solution for this?

Oh BTW: I am not getting every email notifications from wordpress-blog, so is the mail() function not working.
