In reply to: [Geolocation] geolocation_nonce (vanilla installation)It works perfectly on mobile using firefox, so I will just ditch Jetpack.

In reply to: [Geolocation] geolocation_nonce (vanilla installation)I can confirm that the error message has disappeared. Thank you. Sadly when I use the site, whilst appears to be fine, I did get this email. All seems fine apart from that.
WordPress has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.
In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Geolocation.
First, visit your website (https://quirky.w-p.me.uk/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://quirky.w-p.me.uk/wp-admin/post.php?post=129&action=edit&meta-box-loader=1&meta-box-loader-nonce=deae7874bb&_locale=user) and check for any visible issues.
Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.
I can also confirm that when I can get an EXIF labelled image in as the Featured Image your map works perfectly. It is magical. I have to upload them using the web site for now.
My issue is persuading JetPack app to do this successfully. Even with “optimise images” OFF and “remove location from media” OFF the images arrive with no location data. This is not your issue. I will keep playing about.

In reply to: [Geolocation] geolocation_nonce (vanilla installation)The site is a vanilla installation and self-hosted.
I am using Twenty Twenty-Four and yours is the only plugin activated.
I have set up another test site if you are interested and I now get more errors like the above on a new post and it still does not pull the exif data, sad times.
If you want to see, you can log in to the site here:
https://test.thewps.uk/wp-admin
There is basic protection on that domain. The username is your name (four letters, case sensitive) and the password is the name of this topic from the url without the / on the end. (Just the last bit after /topic/).
WordPress User: vanilla
Password: mxp*ady3NTA@teq0bpc
Once you are in I suggest you change the password.
I 100% don’t EXPECT you to work at this! We all have lives. But if you are anything like me you will want to get to the bottom of it. I will delete that site in a week or so.
I would love to get the Featured Image EXIF to location working – as you say, perfect for travellers.

In reply to: [Geolocation] geolocation_nonce (vanilla installation)Sorry, I have been cycling.
I am not sure what you are asking? In the settings page there appears to be no error message. I am afraid I am not techy enough to know how to look for your object and have no idea what a nonce is in this context.
I am on WordPress 6.5.4.

In reply to: [Podcast] Recent Podlove Episode + Color not workingThank you for your very prompt and accurate response.
I completely understand it is not a bug in the theme, which is a wonderful thing. If I find a solution through Podlove I will reply here for other people in my situation.

Not quite sure what I was doing wrong, but now working a treat.
Thank you for the heads up on aligned rather than align.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Media Statistics – Redirect URL 2They tell me they have emailed you, and have emailed you in the past to sort this out too.
Please could you let me know when it is sorted?

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Media Statistics – Redirect URL 2Thanks for that excellent and clear reply. I have reached out to them.
I too had this exact problem including Katrina not being very helpful and blaming it on my SKU codes. In the end I worked out that Black was not working but other colours were. So I submitted it manually and they changed the colour their end. Ultimately the right solution.
Did you get a more permanent solution?

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Premium content refuses passwordThe solution turned out to be this, supplied by seriously simple podcasting – might give them a try!
If you add password protection to your podcast RSS feed, but when you input the username and password you still don’t gain access to the feed then the most likely issue is that your server has FastCGI installed. FastCGI removes the PHP_AUTH_USER and PHP_AUTH_PW variables from the $_SERVER superglobal.
In order to work around this you will need to the following code to your site’s .htaccess file above all the WordPress rules that are already in there:
RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization}]

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Premium content refuses passwordFWIW I disabled all php security on my domain with the help of my support with
<IfModule security2_module>
SecRuleEngine Off
SecRequestBodyAccess Off
</IfModule>They felt it would make no difference and they were right.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Premium content refuses passwordI did some more testing this morning.
I noticed that the when the user/password box pops up the page behind is never changed, it only displays something when I give up and click “Cancel” when it says “Unauthorised”, until that point the page remains on what it was before I typed in the feed URL.
I also looked at the source of page powerpress-feed-source.php and found this:
/* * php-cgi under Apache does not pass HTTP Basic user/pass to PHP by default * For this workaround to work, add this line to your .htaccess file: * RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization}] */
I tried it but it made no difference.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Premium content refuses passwordThat’s the page I’ve been reading to set it up.
No, this is a brand new clean WordPress install. I’ve only installed the PowerPress plugin and used the built in user manager to add one user.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Premium content refuses passwordI noticed later that even when logged in, the url
https://www.blahblah.com/feed/friends/
Pops up asking for a username and password and nothing works, even the admin username/password fails and another empty password field pops up.
