In reply to: Dynamic Content Gallery query_posts conflict… help!sorted. briefly, i used a different query in the footer:
<?php $my_query = new WP_Query('category_name=evenementneuromusculaire1&posts_per_page=8'); ?> <?php while ($my_query->have_posts()) : $my_query->the_post(); ?> <a href="https://gad-center.com/neuromusculaire/programme-neuromusculaire/" title="Consulter le Programme Neuromusculaire"><li><?php the_title(); ?></a> <?php the_excerpt(); ?> <br></li> <?php endwhile; ?>
me too.
Ah! Sorted.
The gist of it:
– Remove responsive structure
– Add “min-width: 1000px” and “max-width: 1000px” to #page in css.ok, i’m over my fear. have deleted the responsive structure down to the print section of the css file (as advised here)
have tried this alchymyth post.
i suppose i’ll have to sort out some validation errors before i get any help here. here goes.
i created a new child theme using my backup, activated it… and i had my sidebar back on the right. but if i simply copy those same backup files to my original child theme folder it makes no difference at all, the sidebar is still hanging below my content.
so having assessed it wasn’t anything to do with my files, i decided to play with deactivating plugins. i know this is recommended as a general check, but i didn’t think i had done anything to cause a plugin conflict.
Deactivated W3 Total Cache and WP-HTML-Compression. Problem solved. Not sure which one it was. I’m new to compression and caching, maybe someone can tell me why this may have caused me problems.
</panic>
In the meantime, initial problem is still not solved. What’s the best way to prevent the sidebar from moving to the bottom on small browsers? The idea being that if the site is loaded on an iPad/iPhone, the user is presented with a site that is zoomed out so you can see the full width, or zoomed in but with horizontal scrolling.
(i’m scarred too touch anything now!)
ok i have no idea what’s happened. i tried uploading my backup of the theme (style.css, header, footer… everything.
i’m about to cry.
completely messed my stylesheet now, help!
Sorry, meant to say I’ve removed the “Responsive Structure” code from the CSS (not “all the code from style.css!).

In reply to: eShop for WordPress – Adding next day delivery optionCool. Method 4 ftw. Thanks Esmi! It’s remarkably straight forward. Set 2 modes (normal / next day delivery) configure the weight/price stuff and badabing.

In reply to: The Style Healers- a fashion Blog with custom twenty eleven theme modnice! the design is great.
i’ve just installed the 2.5 update. i left a post on iwebix’ site about how 2.4 was limited to 5 images. a few of us were having the same problem and were discussing it here. I ended up reverting to 2.2 and hacking the code to get it to work properly before the released this new version. add that to the glaring red “donate!” notice on the settings page, and all the deprecated stuff you’ve highlighted i’m not impressed. i’ve just been boosting my page speed and the gtmetrix breakdown lists my 6 slider images as requiring “specify image size”. not sure i can be bothered trying to fix that one.
the 0,6 limits my slider to 6 slides. i guess you could set as high a limit as you like.
all done! ??
to get the slides to load in order of date (ascending=asc) just replace this:
AND (wposts.post_type = ‘post’ OR wposts.post_type = ‘page’);
with this:
AND wposts.post_date < NOW() ORDER BY wposts.post_date aSC LIMIT 0,6";
