I’m using a hamburger menu in my Twenty Nineteen child theme. (See screenshot at https://oldenwilde.org/srasmus/samples/ow-mobile-header.jpg.) The trick is that I’m managing the menu with the Ubermenu plugin rather than the WordPress admin, then styling the hamburger button in my child style.css.
