So, they’re both on the same server already. Imported the Joomla DB into the new WP installation’s DB. Not sure where to go from here. Haven’t been able to get it to work with the plugin so far.

Well, I can’t get in there to see, but never heard of any of those and positive I made the changes as to how long between login attempts in the WordPress settings dialogue.

Any plugins added to my site are generally in the realm of photo gallery, forms, or other layout type plugins, and there aren’t very many. I generally try not to install plugins unless necessary to get a job done.

I’m going to check my other WordPress site and see if I can locate the setting specifically.

No plugins, just the standard settings that come with WordPress.

Yeah, well, I did a backup and uninstalled my word press site, then installed a fresh installation and without even creating a single page, post, or menu item and disabling all plugins, I get the same bad css validation that you showed me in the other thread.

So what is this error and how to resolve. I read it but it makes no sense to me as I have not made any changes other than trying the solution recommended above.

Currently deactivated all plugins.

I do have intentions of a child them, however, for the moment, I am only experimenting to see if I can get what I want.

I have the same issue. I do not want to see the category bar on any pages at all. Is there a way to get rid of this category bar or header or whatever it is called.

Thank you innuvo. That did the trick. I thought I had tried that already, but possibly I screwed it up somehow. I bet I didn’t have the period at the beginning. Thanks again.

It doesn’t work on my laptop or my wife’s win8.1 machine either. same results across the board. Joomla and WordPress on three computers all the same results.

Everything is disabled, including pop up blocker.

Thanks. Already tried deactivating plugins and I am using Twenty-fourteen. That is a default theme? Additionally, slide shows in my Joomla websites do not work in IE either, so it’s probably more an issue with IE since everything works in Firefox and Chrome as well.

Just thought maybe some of you might have had to deal with this and knew what was up.
