I actually may need more help with this after all, guys. I just had another customer (who is not in my Residential Fee group) place an order, and a residential fee got added. I`ll process it, since the payment has been processed, but I may have missed something. Is there a way to ensure that my fee only applies to the user group “Residential Fee”? I don’t want to charge other people extra, just that one group.

Also, how would I tweak the specifics of this code (assigning it to the role, setting the fee amount, and changing the fee name that shows on the frontend)? I usually know enough to find my way around in code, but I don’t know how to write code myself.

I remade the invoice, but now when I try to send the payment page to the customer, I get an error message that the order cannot be paid for. I’m hoping it’s just something on my end.

Boy do I feel dumb. I went to run the test mode, and realized I had test mode already enabled. So the customer paid in test mode.

I tried to change the order status to Pending Payment and send the payment page, but the payment page didn’t work, and then the order automatically reverted to processing (no payment page option). Now I’m stumped as to how to do this. I know Paypal has an option where you can send direct to the account; I guess I’ll have to see if Stripe has that, also.

I thought this was the API, and I went back and created it following the instructions, but I’m still getting the same error.

I had a similar issue. All my products were marked as Coming Soon, and Add to Cart would only display on the Shop page (with the other products), not on the individual product page.

I just realized something. The message section is the message for Price, not Add to Cart. I’m keeping the price visible for the users who can’t purchase–just wanted to use the message part to redirect them to where to purchase. I may have to get another plugin to do the message part.

I downloaded it; it doesn’t seem like the new version does what the old one does, though. (I’m mainly using it to hide the Add to Cart button from certain roles with a message.) I didn’t see that in the settings, and when I tried to see if the settings I need were in products and I clicked the button on a product, the screen went black and I couldn’t enter anything or scroll.

Going to uninstall beta.
