if it helps, i tried to debug this and saw that the parameter:
utm_content
is the one creating the different sets of comments.

for some reason the fix (the addon you sent me) stopped working.
I’m now seeing again for each page a different set of comments for different UTM parameters.

Any idea how to fix this?

For example this post has no comments

but you can see the same page here, with comments:

Thanks guys – I wasn’t able to make it work, so i will stick to the tagging workaround for now.

Steps I tried:
Create the 1st popup for the main language and save (no conditions)
Create the translated popup (secondary language) and save (no conditions).

I then tried all kinds of conditions:
When either of the popups is set to: “entire site”, it will be displayed for all languages.When both have the “entire site” conditions, only the major language is displayed for all languages.

thanks – my flow was a bit different but the end configuration was the same…
I will try your flow and set the conditions for my default language only after both popups are created!

Thanks, already talked to Elementor who suggested I contact Polylang (which I did).
My current workaround is adding a language tag to each post and set a trigger by tag and another one to each page. I hope Elementor will make the effort to add a trigger by language soon.

i tried all kinds of variations as @p4fbradjohnson and @daveshine suggested, but with no luck. I then replaced my Elementor search widget on the secondary-language header with the WP search widget and realized it works well. This workaround is good enough for me.

Im using Elementor pro widget. it appears on my header which is language specific. I can see that the search widget is displayed for the correct language (but also tried to replace it, so each language has its own search widget – but it didn’t work).
I understand the plugin does not change search behavior at the moment, I still hope there’s a solution you can help with.

i tried removing my archive templates completely and the results are the same:categories work while search results are for the default language only.

It doesn’t work unfortunately. I tried both with and without setting the conditions for the secondary language, but the results are the same: categories are language specific while search results always go to the default language.

more info:
– the templates for the 2 languages are connected (you can see that they are the translation of one another)
– The conditions for both templates are set to be displayed on all search results (which is probably why the main language takes over the search results)

strike that – I played with the gallery settings and it now works:
Caption Title Source=Attachment title field
Caption Description Source=Attachment caption field

I’m having the same problem in chrome on an ipad/iphone, but not on an android device or on a pc.
