I have the same issue. And I emailed the Yoast theme. But since I have no paid version of Yoast they are not obliged to solve issues like this. What he said was this:

If the theme had been using that older breadcrumb code (rather than the newer one) this may be the cause of the issue. We suggest reaching out to your theme developer for more information.

Still that didnt help me solve this issue. I dont know enough about php to get into that. And I used the [wpseo_breadcrumb] shortcode on 100 pages. It would be time consuming to edit them all

Als je in de css dit kunt toevoegen dan zet je de border color van dat vierkantje uit. Het is niet een complete fix maar het lost wel het probleem op.

it is not a solution. I created this topic again because the put it on resolved. But what you can do is hiding the border for that div. Like I said, no solution but it will temporary fix the look of it.
