In my experience after testing this thoroughly, this issue was caused on a few websites that hide some kind of webhook to another server where that communication took some time. Try to disable all plugins bedsides CF7 and Flamingo and change to the default WordPress theme (Twenty Twenty-One), then see how fast the contact form is being sent, if it’s slow it could be that Flamingo as an issue or your hosting is just slow but that’s easy to test.

Anyway, you can find out the issue by process of elimination which is how I found out that the plugin “ActiveTrail – Contact Form 7” was causing the slowness.

Actually, this issue happened in the previous hosting and I noticed that if using 7.2 the problem doesn’t exist, only when I’ve upgraded to 7.3 or 7.4 the problem was there.

What do you mean when you say Pre-process large images? What exactly needs to be done?

Upon further investigation it seems that the code breaks on class-wp-image-editor-imagick.php on line 492:
$orig_image = $this->image->getImage();

This returns an empty Imagick Object, the code never passes line 506:
$resized = $this->resize( $size_data['width'], $size_data['height'], $size_data['crop'] );

There is nothing in the server logs to indicate why it is failing unfortunately.

Any idea why wp_generate_attachment_metadata throws 503 Service Unavailable? What could be so heavy? it’s just a 5MB file I’m trying to generate meta data for…

I have made some more tests and it seems to be okay now, this time around the plugin “ActiveTrail – Contact Form 7” was causing this slowness.

I have mixed feelings about the fact that you have found that uPress is blocking Google Site Kit’s communication hehe, thank you very much for verifying! At least now we know what the issue is.

So you’re saying that if I create the property myself and then use Google Site Kit to pull it in the plugin setup it should work? If that’s the case I’ll go ahead and do that now.
