This is not what I’ve been hoping for. I have to logout whenever I want to see the current (not the tested) theme. Also, switching to testing mode of the new them changes the current theme which my visitors see.

I found the problem.
Setting a homepage in Responsive made those options unavailable in the settings.

In header.php find bloginfo(‘name’); after <span class=”site-name”> and replace it with the_title();

Tried following the above instruction and I notice no change. I hope I didn’t mess anything up.

Creating a Static Front Page reads:

3. Enable “Permalinks” to show the “page title” in the address, since /index.php?p=423 defeats the purpose of making a static front page.

I’m not sure how to do this.

Is there a way, perhaps using an add-on, to design a webpage starting with a blank page, then placing elements using drag-and-drop ?

What I wish to do is clean out everything: header, footer, title, sidebar and apply my own design, without using code.
