Newsletter’s SMTP was on. When I turned it off, the test could be sent. I now recall that I used SMTP in Newsletter so that any newsletter that cannot be delivered, would bounce back to a designated mail box.
I changed the password and now it’s working with SMTP.I have no SMTP plugin. Where in Newsletter can I find the SMTP configuration?
But again, the only thing that I did before this error message kicked in, was to update my plugins and WordPress. Nothing has changed with my provider either.
I’m looking at the absolute numbers, not the percentages. My website lives on a shared server with a company called Network Redux. There have been cases in the past that there was a spammer on the server and I got blacklisted. Than they whitelisted me, but I’m not sure whether that reversed things to the way they were before the blacklisting.
What is being blacklisted – the IP or the sender’s email address?
Do I have better chances not being marked as spam if I go with another webhost? If so, any recommendations for a good (and not pricey) webhost?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Newsletter - Send awesome emails from WordPress] Bounced EmailsMy provider created a new email for bounce purposes. The return path was changed accordingly. Now it works fine.
Thank you for you help.~ Oded

In reply to: [Newsletter - Send awesome emails from WordPress] Bounced EmailsI understand.
Regardless, I have not received any messages of a bounced email sent to the email address that I have on the “return path”.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Newsletter - Send awesome emails from WordPress] Bounced EmailsI tried sending a couple of such fake email addresses from the status panel. After each send I’m given the following message:
Email sent with Newsletter: SUCCESSSomething’s not right.

In reply to: [Newsletter - Send awesome emails from WordPress] Bounced EmailsThank you Andreas and Stefano for your reply. I have the “return path” set to my regular email address. It is the same email address that I have in WordPress > Settings > General > Email address. It has been set this way for a few years now and not once have I received a bounce notice. I’m thinking that’s rather suspicious.
Is there a way I can test bounced emails without sending an actual newsletter?
Thank you

In reply to: embed troublshootingI just found out that this problem exists with Firefox and Chrome, but not with Safari and Opera. That’s from a Mac. I don’t have Explorer.

In reply to: embed troublshootingI don’t recall ever disallowing sharing. I didn’t change anything with my settings. Still, it is possible that YouTube made changes in the meantime.
Where on YT can I check to see that I’m allowing the sharing of my videos?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: embed troublshootingI am using WP version 3.9.1. I tried doing what you suggested. Nothing shows at all, however, the size of the synopsis window becomes significantly larger, as if there is something there, as you can see here (it’s just below the link):
https://odedbenami.com/odeds-tv-interview-with-ann-parillo-for-schenectady-today/I’m wondering if this could be an issue with my YouTube account. I haven’t uploaded anything in a long time.
I would like to be able to send different newsletters to people in different geographic locations.

In reply to: Bug? Logged out after clicking 'edit post'I should have mentioned in my original post that I first experienced this problem when dealing with my first time password protected post.
That being said, I followed your first two pointers: plugin deactivation/reactivation and switching to default theme. The problem seem to have been solved. But then I quit the browser and found the following behavior:
Regardless of browser, the problem always occurs the first time I open the browser. Then it doesn’t reoccur until the next time I quit the browser. It almost sounds like a cookie related problem.
