In reply to: [WordPress Image Compression Plugin - Octify] Hopelessly broken and terribleHi there @eeduder,
We’d be happy to try and get this working for you if you’d like our support team to take a look on.
We were doing maintenance on the API a couple of days ago, which may have been when you was trying to use the plugin.
Did compression start at all?
Thanks!
Hi there @upperkite,
Octify certainly isn’t a scam, we’d be more than happy to help. I’ve just checked our ticket system and don’t see your reply with details.
If you can re-send to support(at)octify.io and one of our team will be happy to check the issue you’re having.
As a quick troubleshooting step install a plugin called “Health Check”. Then visit your wp-admin > Dashboard > Health Check and check the loopback connection works. If this is timing out, you’ll need to increase the timeout limit on your server for Octify to work.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WordPress Image Compression Plugin - Octify] In a loopHi there @pcliff069,
We’ve just released an update that should fix this for you.
If you can update to Octify 1.3 and try again, any issues at all let us know.
Thanks!
Hi @sweileman,
Appreciate your patience on this. We’ve just pushed an update that should fix this for you.
The update includes fixes for not skipping images and an option to cancel a compression in progress.
I’ll mark this as solved as the bug has been fixed, but if you run into any problems feel free to re-open the thread.
Thanks!
Hi @sweileman,
Apologies for the long wait here. We’ve located a small issue that affects a limited number of installs and believe that’s what is happening here.
Expect a plugin update by Wednesday.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WordPress Image Compression Plugin - Octify] Compressing … and waiting …Hi, Cees (@awakeningme).
Apologies about the delay, our support team have reached out via email and we’ll continue there.
I’ll mark this thread as resolved, though that’s purely because we’re movin to emails, know the issue itself isn’t solved.
Thanks!
Hi Steve,
That’s definitely odd!
Can you try a bulk reset please?
Try this bulk revert: (let us know if you need a new key so you can compress).
Add “octify_revert=1” to any url, i.e, example.com/wp-admin?octify_revert=1
Thanks!
Hi Steve,
Can you post a link to the image in question, please?
We do have a bug at the moment where some files if they are named file.jpeg return as invalid, but file.jpg works.
We’re currently working on a fix for that which should be out early next week.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WordPress Image Compression Plugin - Octify] Octify – how longHi @pcliff069,
We’ve responded to your email.
The best way to uninstall completely, is to delete the plugin, then delete the options it adds to the wp_options table. We’ll add a removal option to a upcoming release.
Once that is done, try re-installing to see if it’ll work correctly.
Thanks!
Hi Marcel,
Thanks for the feedback and glad to hear you got this working.
We’ll add a patch to the next release. ??
Hi Marcel,
Can you try bulk resetting the plugin?
Add “octify_revert=1” to any url, i.e, yourdomain.com/wp-admin?octify_revert=1
Let me know if you need me to send a new key so you can compress again.
We’re currently working on additional error logging and also skipping on a per image basis.
Thanks!
Hi there @mbdiener,
Doesn’t sound like you’ve done anything wrong. Could you send over some details via our contact form? (Octify.io/contact).
The team will then take a look for you.
Thanks!
Hi Marcel,
Thanks for sending over the URL. We’ve replied to your email if you could forward us the required details.
Thanks!
