Weird thing is that I have about 30 sites on same server, installed on about 15 with no issues then one just wont scan …
I’m finding that the email setup in wordpress admin will not send an email to unlock, however the email in the ‘alerts’ wordfence settings will. So if you get locked out, use the alert email address vs the site admin email if different.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Downloads are Accessible? All the links seem to work properly from the ‘my account’ as well as the email when I uploaded the file manually to the woocommerce_uploads folder and then manually edited the link to match that location. It doesn’t appear that the file can be grabbed from the direct link as it has a .htaccess in that folder. I just don’t understand why the upload button in the product area didn’t upload to that folder in the first place …
Same to woo itookmyprozac! lol

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Downloads are Accessible?Neverwoo, and thanks for the woohelp. I think I have woo’d it, which is woo-smurf-tastic.
Downloadable products should be put in the
wp-content/uploads/woocommerce_uploads
folder which has an .htaccess in it that has deny all set.For some reason, the plugin, when uploading from within wordpress, puts the download file in the uploads folder and not the one mentioned above.
I deleted the one file I uploaded from within wordpress and manually uploaded the file to the other folder and reset the link in the product. Everything seems to be working.
Does this sound right woo techs?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Downloads are Accessible? Is there a reason no one is answering my question, i’m sure it’s been asked before I just want to make sure the download i’m selling isn’t easily nabbed from the file path as it seems it is wide open for download. Are you supposed to use a .htaccess in that directory? Are the downloads supposed to be going into the main uploads or are they supposed to go into the woocommerce_uploads or are you supposed to sftp them manually instead of using the browse button on the product?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Downloads are Accessible? The file path and file are both accessible in the uploads directory so anyone can just directly download your digital file you are selling? There is no protection at all for your file. Can someone tell me how to correct this?
(The files in the above example have been removed but I the problem is still the same.)

In reply to: [WooCommerce] The cart doesn't updateAt least that was the case with another shopping cart recently to which I was very surprised that was the problem…

I also noticed that the download is NOT going to this woocommerce folder, where their is an .htaccess file.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] The cart doesn't updateI have found that this problem also arises from having the wp-config one level down from the root of the website. If you relocated your wp-config to protect it, move it back to the root of the website and try again.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Products by Tag shortcode?I totally have to agree with you Jason. I don’t see a way to have a page of items listed by their tag… if there is a way, can someone let us know? If not, can you guys add this to the requests? ??
Thanks folks!

I found the check box in 1.1.5 or so, it was listed as:
“Disable date in snippet preview for posts”In the general settings, one of my old sites still had the older version. I thought I was going crazy as the date is now showing in the snippet preview. I was under the impression that it also stopped it from displaying in google search results …
Is it me or for some reason I seem to remember a check box that removed the date from posts in yoast seo … I can’t find it now and was thinking I was going crazy!
Although for one I tweaked yesterday, Google is now telling me there are errors, one is on line 141 and line 141 is this:
<image:loc>https://www.ocalaheart.com/wp-content/gallery/support-images/ocala-heart-institute-logo-ocala-2.png</image:loc>
Which is a functioning url for that image… I’ll resubmit it again and see if it comes up again.
I did go their and +1’d it or whatever, thanks for opening that ticket. Also, sometimes you have to wait for the sitemap to get re-indexed, it will say pending for quite some time in Google’s Webmaster tools.
