Anything written with a different character encoding shows up with strange characters in page with another encoding.
Yes, of course – I know. But I switched back almost immediately and still all postings before the double switch cripple the German Umlaute. E.g. my WordPress option is UTF-8 but 400 postings done in UTF-8 still show question marks instead of Umlaute. Would be lovely if somebody could confirm that this is definitely not a WordPress problem (but maybe the Apache Server?).
