Thank you sooooooooo much Erik! Yeah, I don’t want to mess with the files/theme, I just don’t know enough, but I’ve also heard of folks breaking the template, I think that’s what they call it:) I like the theme as is. I can fiddle with the little stuff like options to change background color etc. But that’s as daring as I get:)

Ok, well that is something I didn’t realize, thank you so much! I have a few other options of places that work with hostgator, seems I saw bbpress, I know I saw weebly, and not familiar with that one.

Ok, I will look there as well. I tried the other link you gave me and it was one of the searches I did as well. I really just want to insert a simple, forum template, so I can invite several of my friends to join me there. We all belong to another forum which we are sick of, so, we want to start another senior forum.

You’re not confused, I am, lol! The site I gave you is just an example of what I want for a forum. It is a vbulletin template.

Doesn’t WP have templates for forums anywhere? I can’t find them if it does. I would rather use something from within WP then an outside source that may not jive with WP, know what I’m saying?

Yes, been doing that for 2 days, but the biggest problem is, figuring out how to get the template into WordPress. I am really tired right now, so I’m not thinking too clearly.

I was hoping there would just be vbulletin templates in WP but all I see are regular websites.

I so appreciate you replying because I felt like there was no one to help me, and I even tried Hostgator support who knew little to nothing because they only “host” the WP site when I put it online. There must be directions on WP on how to upload template to my site (file manager in hostgator).

I’m sorry if I’m not making good sense, I get on these projects and forget to take breaks, lol, doi;)

I don’t know that much myself, just playing with fireworks, like a photo imaging/creative software.

What I’m doing right now is saving it, or exporting it as html then I’ll try opening it and see how it goes.

I’ll let you know yogi, and also, may be asking for help when it comes to importing it into the wp theme:) Denise

I can export it as a htm file, although it is made in Fireworks so I was a little concerned. So as long as it is html I will be able to use it?

It will have 2 states, one for the rollover, just lighter button to show active. Seems like it will work, just never used WordPress before, or, built my own site.

I think I can show you a pic of my nav bar. It’s buttons but has white background so shouldn’t show against white “main content area.
