In reply to: [SupportCandy - Helpdesk & Customer Support Ticket System] Website SupportI use Brave. (https://brave.com/) It is Chromium based like Chrome and Edge. I will send you an email to your support section. Thanks for the reply!
Paul, I have no interest in destroying your reputation; not even one bit! Look at this from the client’s perspective. You download and activate your plugin and then you get a “critical error” on your website. What will be your first conclusion? See what I mean?
Your description of the plugin says nothing about compatibility issues with PHP8. That should be listed right at the top of the plugin description. I run an e-commerce website that generates money. I cannot afford to get surprises like this or have my website offline for even an hour!
I am more than willing to amend my comment, but attacking a client is bad for business. It takes months to gain a client’s trust, but only a second to destroy it.
I just got the same error. Don’t know how serious it is. Everything else seem to be working.
[ISSUE SOLVED!]
IL am using two Google Analytics plugins: Analytics Insights for Google Analytics 4 (AIWP) and Site Kit by Google. Both give me a much broader picture of what is going on on my website then just using Site Kit. It seems that Google Site Kit does not like being the stepchild; it wants to be the only child! After I disabled Analytics Insights for Google Analytics 4 (AIWP), Site Kit started working again. No errors anymore.
This is a pity as I loved using both… Anyway, cannot have it all I suppose!
Same issue here.
I also checked if the app is connected, and it is still connected to Google Analytics. It is not the connection that has been dropped.

In reply to: [Newsletter - Send awesome emails from WordPress] This is a MUST addon!Mailer Lite is somewhat better, but you must remember that you start to pay for Mailer Lite after hitting a 1000 subscribers. Many of the features in Mailer Lite is disabled until you start paying as well.
The default Newsletter plugin is free no matter how many subscribers you have. It does have pro addons if you pay for it, but that is completely optional. If you buy a subscription for the Newsletter Plugin, then it is just as good as Mailer Lite with all the features.
My advice is to first try the Newsletter plugin and see if it fits your needs in free mode. If not, then switch over to Mailer Lite.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Spam after updating to recaptcha v3Lots of people are complaining about this. See these links:

Some of gone back to the previous version of Contact Form 7 which uses the older V2 reCaptcha. I am trying the Contact Form 7 Honey Pot addon to see if that will work.

In reply to: [Custom My Account for Woocommerce] Great SupportThere is no cheaper alternative. There is one from YITH which is even more expensive at $66. (https://yithemes.com/themes/plugins/yith-woocommerce-customize-myaccount-page/) Still will not pay it. I have begin to look at plugins being offered by people outside the WordPress system. These are much cheaper, but you must install them manually by importing the ZIP file.

In reply to: [No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA] Lost password option doesn't workThe same thing happened to me setting up a new woocommerce website. It looks like the plugin is faulty. Sorry I don’t have any solution for you, but I will be looking for a different solution for my CAPTCHA needs.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Large Digital DownloadsRiaan,
I am looking at Amazon S3 now. I tried a few cloud solutions, but the problem is that they are not secure. The links to the files can be copied by anyone smart enough and that bothers me a bit.
Thanks for the reply!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] woocommerce, Digital download is secure? This is what I did.
I skipped the Media Library all together and created a DOWNLOADS folder on my server like this: https://www.[yourdomain].com/downloads. I then uploaded all my files in there.
My webhost allows me to create htaccess files. These are simple text files called .htaccess (no extention at all; remember the DOT infront) You edit them with a standard text editor. Edit them and then add the following.
deny from all
Now save and upload the file into your DOWNLOADS folder.
If you try to access this DOWNLOADS folder with your browser, then you will get a 403 FORBIDDEN error which is exactly what you want.
Now add the download via WooCommerce, but the link to the download should be https://www.[yourdomain].com/downloads/%5BDownloadName.ext%5D
WooCommerce will still serve the file and your client will be able to download it, but only via your website after payment!
Have fun!
