In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack – Stats Not LoadingSame here,
Interestingly though, Jetpack > Dashboard > At a Glance shows my stats without issue, but Jetpack > Site Stats doesn’t.
De-activated all my plugins and then re-activated only the JetPack plugin. The problem persists. I’m guessing therefore it’s an issue with the WordPress 5.7 update rather than plugin related.
Hi Tim,
Thanks for checking back. Just installed v2.0.21 on a completely fresh WordPress install. The
%50
sub-string is still being stripped from the password when entered and saved on the settings page.Regards, Steve.
I may have spoken too soon. My password actually contains
%50
as 3 consecutive characters. So, forgive me, it’s not the%
character that’s being stripped, but the%50
that’s disappearing. Presumably, this has something to do with URL-encoded characters?Regards
Was also getting Ajax errors after migrating my site to a new server although in my case the Apache error log showed:
Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function curl_version()
Seems I omitted to install php7.4-curl on the new server. Ooops! All’s well now.

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: XML-RPC services issues since WordPress version 3.8.2Same here, but my issue was with the Wordfence security plugin.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: XML-RPC services disabledThe WP 3.8.2 update may have been a red herring. Disabling the Wordfence Security plugin that was updated to 5.0.2 around the same time fixed my issuse with Mars Edit.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: XML-RPC services disabledAm having a similar problem with Mars Edit since updating to WP 3.8.2
According to to the release notes the file
wp-includes/class-wp-xmlrpc-server.php
has been updated.Looks like this could be an issue with the WP core.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Lost Jetpack StatsThanks Richard,
Yeah, I accidentally connected a copy of my site through localhost. All’s working now.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Lost Jetpack StatsAnyone?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Lost Jetpack StatsIt now appears I have access to the stats under my old blog ID and I can force Jetpack to connect to this ID by entering it directly in the jetpack_options and stats_options fields of the wp_options table.
However, when I disconnect and reconnect Jetpack to WordPress.com it connects under the new blog ID.
Over at WordPress.com I have two tech-otaku.com blogs listed: one for the old ID and one for the new ID.
Still looking for some resolution on this.
Many thanks, Steve.

In reply to: Jetpack Plugin and Broken Page NavigationApart from changing the template name that’s what I did and because of my themes structure I had to make some changes to index.php. For now, Jetpack is playing nicely with page navigation. So many thanks for this.

In reply to: Jetpack Plugin and Broken Page NavigationDo you mean you changed Reading Settings > Front page displays > A static page to Reading Settings > Front page displays > Your latest posts?

In reply to: Jetpack Plugin and Broken Page NavigationForum: Plugins
In reply to: Jetpack Plugin and Broken Page NavigationNo, I’m not using WP Multisite and I can’t be certain the problem’s being caused by the Jetpack plugin.
However, I’ve since deleted Jetpack and re-installed the old WordPress.com Stats plugin that’s still available for download and page navigation now functions perfectly whether I’m logged in as admin or not. Weird.
Regards, Steve.
Erika,
Have installed the Jetpack plugin which I believe supersedes the WordPress.com Stats plugin.
My stats appear to be showing correctly on the WP Dashboard and the information I’m getting using the API is a little better.
While I’m seeing post_id for some of my posts now, those posts have the correct post_title and post_permalink. The others without post_id still have other erroneous data.
Regards, Steve.
