I should have thought of that. Thanks.

In reply to: [Wiki] using post tags on wiki pagesI think you are incorrect regarding the cost – I believe it’s $90 pcm for all plugins, but only $19 to get support and updates for one. And you can also just pay $19 whenever you want an update, which is unlikely to be monthly.
I also think it’s important to factor in that plugins you pay for are more likely to be kept updated (essential at the very least to match WordPress updates) and if we rely on the goodwill of developers, we are playing a risky game, as they may just decide they haven’t got time, or might fall under a bus and we lose a core feature.
As my project is still just a proposal that may not get the go ahead, I am at the moment just paying for updates I need, but testing the pro version out was essential.
Good luck with your project.

In reply to: [Wiki] using post tags on wiki pagesHi Mike
I appreciate you answering (as these aren’t your forum). I ended up buying the Pro version, and found the tags. It would have helped me to know beforehand, if you are updating the features at any point!
These are tags for the wiki custom post type, and work fine. I wonder if you might consider just adding the code to allow standard categories and tags to work with your wiki pages (which I understand to be fairly trivial) – both so that I could mix wiki and non-wiki pages/posts, and also so that all the tool already available for tags and categories could be used?
Kind regards

– that’s great – I really like this plugin, the styling is really good, but I found the 12h delay frustrating, and had started looking for an alternative. Thank you.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Link View] [Plugin: Link View] What other attributes do you want to have?Hi, I think that it’s really useful to know that – it means that I can get any result I want, even if it’s not automatic.

In reply to: [Link View] [Plugin: Link View] What other attributes do you want to have?The order is important to me. I have installed this on my site (https://www.chelseatextiledesign.org/main/links/) and I want the most important group at the top, not the one that happens to be A…. Ordering by slug would be one solution, because I could change the slug to suit me, e.g. by numbering the categories?
… I have just changed sc_linkview.php from
$catarray = get_terms( 'link_category', 'orderby=name' );
to
$catarray = get_terms( 'link_category', 'orderby=slug' );
… and that seems to work for me. I would of course prefer not to have an personal custom version of the plugin, and I wonder if that might be relatively straightforward to solve?

In reply to: Flash of Unstyled Content (White Flash On Page Load)…. and I just tried the jQuery fix suggested by Nisien. Seems to help a little, in that I sometimes don’t get a flash, but I usually do. I also realise other plugins might cause a problem, it’s just less consistent.

In reply to: Flash of Unstyled Content (White Flash On Page Load)I got the white flash with a site using the iNove theme the moment I moved from 3.1 to 3.2.1
- in Chrome, not Firefox 5.0
- in local and remote versions
- with the following 3 plugins (the other 16 not a problem): Q and A; Quick Post Widget; and U More Recent posts
Most of my sites have a white background, so I wouldn’t have noticed elsewhere.
Ah – I see it is protected by htaccess… Ignore my previous comment.
I get 777s as well (which I manually changed to 755), and my host automatically locks any site with 777 permissions, so please look into this?

I have a Dennis Hoppe plugin enabled (author info), and am disturbed to have a donation request on the dashboard, both for me and my logged-in users.
I am not against – and even welcome – developers asking for donations, but it is bad practice to locate requests here, because if generally accepted, the dashboard would be awash with developer spam. It is (thank goodness) the only example I’ve seen of this.
I politely request that Dennis remove this panel.
