In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Failed Order Showing As AuthorisedHi Andreas
thanks for your reply. To answer your questions:
1. I have just emailed you a bit more info and screenshots. We have an inhouse web developer.
2. We have the plug-in set to only authorise the payment (this stops PayPal charging its transaction fee). We then go into the order to capture the payment if everything is okay. This order showed that the payment was successfully authorised even though it wasn’t. It gave me the option to capture the payment so I click that option on the WooCommerce order page and that’s when the two messages came up (see screenshot I emailed you).
3. PayPal declined the payment straight away. It didn’t show up on their Activity page, which I why I called them up.
Does that clarify everything?
Thanks
Nick

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Several Issues Found…I’d also like to know when the next update is due to be released.
Should I be using this plugin for a live website? Is everyone else just testing this plugin at the moment?
I’m not sure how many orders I’m missing out on because of these issues.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] “WP-Includes” needed for each excluded script?I’m sorry to ask but how does /js/jquery/jquery.js match the full path when it’s within the wp-includes folder?

In reply to: [Autoptimize] “WP-Includes” needed for each excluded script?Hi Frank, thanks for your reply. My question is why isn’t the last one:
wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js
Where in the premium version are the settings?

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Several Issues Found…Hi Jon
I’d have to get this info from our web developer. You can see how it works if you visit https://www.mainprint.co.uk.
Have other people on here noticed the same faults? I’m wondering if I should be using another plugin until this one has been developed more. This one did say it was developed by WooCommerce so I assumed it would be bullet-proof.
(The one I currently use doesn’t offer 3DSecure on cards and hasn’t been developed for a long time.)
What do people think?

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] RefundsWill the refund option be hidden when the plugin is set to only authorise a payment?
Also, will you add a Void authorisation option so I don’t have to log into PayPal to do this?
I received this same error several times. In fact, I’ve found a few bugs so will be supporting another thread shortly.

In reply to: [Conditional Shipping for WooCommerce] Illogical Setting Up of Conditions…Also “Enable shipping methods” is a bit misleading to new users of the plugin.
From my understanding of the plugin, all shipping options start out being enabled. If the condition is true then the shipping option is left untouched. If the condition is false then the shipping option is disabled.
Once any condition disables a shipping option another condition can’t re-enable it.
I think these options should be called…
“Enable shipping methods” –> “Condition=false – Disable shipping methods”
“Disable shipping methods” –> “Condition=true – Disable shipping methods”Now that I understand the lack of an ELSE option I can work through the shipping methods to get the desired outcome.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Address Book] Missing FeaturesHi Matt
Has any development work been started yet? We are planning to go live with our new site in December but this is the one missing feature.
We plan to add orders via the WooCommerce back office. Maybe we’ll find a better 3rd party solution but that’s the current plan.
Online shops should be using a Virtual Terminal to take card payments. I think it’s actually against the law to impersonate a user in order to take payment. It fools the card companies into thinking the customer placed the order via the web rather than phone.
So I appreciate that I could do that to access the customer’s address but it’s a bit of a strange way of working.
Cheers
Nick
